    Do you have any tips for maintaining water temperature when you don't have an electric kettle? I've decided I might boil the water on the stove and then pour it into my insulated thermos and bring it back to my tea area with me.

      Yes you can certainly use a thermos. Re-boiling water can have a negative effect on flavor, as it causes dissolved oxygen molecules to escape solution, resulting in flatter taste. With that said, the best option is a temperature controlled kettle that holds your water at the temperature you set.
