  • The Danish Gladiators (Gladiatorerne) burst onto TV screens across Denmark for 1 series back in 2003. The show featured 16 fierce Gladiators known as Wolf, Medusa, Romeo, Cobra and Hector - to name just a few.
Presenters: Lotte Thor-Jensen and Jakob Kjeldbjerg
Referees: Kim Milton and Eva Fjellerup
Commentators: Carsten Werge and Lisser Frost-Larsen
    Produced: MTV Produktion
    Broadcaster: TV3
    DID YOU KNOW:
The set used in Danish Gladiators series was actually the same set used on the original UK Gladiators production, between 1992-2000. In 2000, the entire set was shipped over to Sweden after the UK series had ended, it was then used in the Swedish Gladiators series (Gladiatorena). As the Swedish and Danish series shared the same production company, the set was also shared between the two countries.

Event #1 is Powerball. I don't know why the Danish decided to call it "Hit and Run".
    Event #2 is Suspension Bridge.
Event #3 seems to be based on the American event Snapback, only with each contender competing one at a time.
    Event #4 is The Wall.
The Eliminator seen here is based on the one used during the last three British series (trampette after the hi-lo hurdles, trapeze across the second pit, seesaws before the Travelator).

Probably coz the danish word for powerball is too long thus too tricky to pronounce

@@faiththomas1749 Interestingly, in the Swedish version, they call it "Attack Boll" (translates as "Attack Ball" of course), and the Finnish version calls it "Taistelupallo" (which can translate to "Combat Ball" or "Ball Fight").

Can we get more of these if possible ? would love to see full seasons of the much more obscure seasons of Gladiators that were out there.

It's very odd hearing the events without the music like in the UK show.
