Man I’ve been going hard on grinding for like 7 days no luck on the reactor for my bunny or fryna. Yet I scored a perfect reactor for one of the descendants I don’t own 😢
Thank you for your informative videos. I really appreciate what you do and the pragmatic approach to breaking the game down to simple forms. This one particularly helped cut through the clutter of the game.
Insane turnaround time. I also appreciate that it looks (watching now) like it is less "here's the specific BiS" and more of a "teach a man to fish..." sort of deal. Very future proof. edit: and you drilled down my question from before and made it super simple (the "why does everyone seem to focus on damage type not elemental, for power ratio" one). I think when I was saying it would be great to have something for substats, I was hoping at the time "this is best for Lepic for mobbing, this is best for Lepic for bossing" sort of deal, but this helps with actually understanding everything. Incredible work. Now I just need to figure out components and my inventory/storage may stop looking like a hellscape.
I've just started playing with ultimate Viessa.. fell in love with her. Just the speed, the moves, running almost as fast as bunny. Can't explain it, she's just fun to mob with. Anyway. Catalysed full blast. Focus arround cooldowns. I mean, cool the F down and a half. Reactor and modules. I'm just spamming all my skills everywhere anytime. I should optimize to do more crit tho... sounds fun. This game offers endless possibilities. Thanks for the video. I love your accent and the way you explain. Just earn a new subscriber. Thx for that. Cheers from Canada.
I started playing this game again now that I’m on pc. Beat it on normal about 2 days ago. I just unlocked Freyna. Started playing with viessa. Decided to buy valby. Now I’m just running around doing random stuff and helping out where I can. I have no idea what I’m doing in this game but I love it. Eventually I’ll test out the hard mode. Been a watching few of your videos to get a baseline on what I should be doing. I’m not so lost anymore.
As an end game player with every ultimate descendant unlocked and some of the unique regular descendants, I am gravitating towards purple reactors. They allow me to maintain 140% skill power and can swap out 2 guns whenever i want without losing any of that power or needing to implant reactors. I get some really good gold sub stats more frequently on purple than the yellow reactors.
As a warframe player i dont know if i should be happy or sad this game is kind of an disappointment to me cus i went through all content like thought butter Today was mine 15 day tomorrow i will get ultimate bunny and keelan from anais and will that way have all ultimate descenants and have played with all basic ones im just kind i know its wierd sad that i was able to farm all of them this fast
Skill cost is absolutely necessary in only one instance and that is if you are going for infinite sprint bunny build because if you have it on your reactor you can basically stop mana drain on Bunny, making her able to run pretty much forever
More to your point. I believe there are diminishing returns on power increase. I got more dmg out-of utilizing multiple buckets than a single type build. I.e. tech or toxic on freyne. But, in each single element bled, all tech , did less dmg than all tox. I think the return on tech began to diminish earlier than toxic. Require more testing to prove 100%, but it felt like there was a soft ceiling at a different amount. And yes, I just been shooting my enduring legacy at thattoxic thing in the frieze pod.
Might be something in the calculation and that element is 'weighted' more than type, but again the variable here is with single digit percentages so most of the time it's not worth cracking ur head since pretty much everything in the game dies easily either way
@@theFullMeasure its because tech mods are skill modifer increases and not Type Skill power. The only Type Skill power bonuses are reactor type and its type substat roll. Sadly if you fuck up your ratios of skill power and element skill power as well as your reactor substats you can look at 20-30% dmg difference, which is noticeable in colossus fights, even a few percent can be the difference of soloing the easy hard bosses in one ult or not.
I would rank the archetypal damage over the elemental damage. For example if you have 2 reactors one with 8,5% singular and one with 8,5 electric your bunny makes more damage with the singular reactors. Of course if you farm a 8,5% roll on both stats thats the maximum damage output you can get, but if you want some utility and only use one damage roll then the singular stat is the way to go + any second stat that you want.
overall ok video though your bucket explanation is mostly wrong and many other details following from that are incorrect: Skill Power, Element Skill Power and Type Skill Power each are their own buckets and get multiplied together with the rest of the dmg formula, so you want to maximize the product of those three. Only Skill Power and Element Skill Power can get added by mods, the single sources for Type skill power is your reactor type (+20%) and the type substat (+8.5%), which is why you ALWAYS want Type over Element if you can only pick one. (blue type > gold element) Thus the only time you want Element as substat is together with type skill power to maximize a non crit characters dmg (besides using a faction bonus, those are better than both together for their respective faction, just current content doesnt require you to bring the correct faction bonus and swapping around all the time is hella annoying), every other situation element its straight up worse than a blue type roll and can be thrown away. Skill Power modifier on the other hand is just ONE bucket. Generell SP modifier affects all skills, element SP modifier only affects skill of that element and type SP modifier only affect skills of that type, you then add all modifiers that affect a given skill together Additively and add it to the skills base modifier seen in skill description (there is a bug in the stat window such that normal SP modifier does show in stat page while type modifiers wont get shown, they still work as intended it just the stat screen being fucked. there is no element SP modifiers in mods atm, though some sets give small percentages in those, since its very small values its often negligible) Cost is definitly not trash. Element is. Cost + gold roll for mana regen and regen in combat allows for an infinite bunny run build, gun hailey also wants cooldown+cost. Who knows what else we get in the future, its definitly not a trash stat and any double gold combo you get with it should be kept at least once. valby with moist also becomes a crit descendant as the mod gives BASE crit (again, game is very inaccurate and inconsistent with its explanations and tooltips), thus she can build skill crit with it. every other red mod you correctly dont wanna go crit on her.
Great video to help players. I do think Bunny can be built crit or non crit. High Voltage Bunny can hit some juicy 2.3 mil crits when built crit. I really like Non crit Bunny with Bionic Fuel better for farming tho.
Yet another good video very informative thank you very much. I would still like to see them drop sub attack and incorporate HP into yujin and Luna. That would eliminate those two sub stats As for the damage to factions I still think they should consolidate into damage outside of intercept battle and damage inside intercept battle that would make it very simple But of course, if there’s one thing I would like to see happen and that’s to have the element of a substance not be different from what the actual element of the reactor is I can’t count how many times I’ve gotten a perfect reactor with the mount only to have the wrong element boost as a sub stat
Another exception if your playing with friends and one of yall play luna. You probably wana take a non-crit descendant and run crit now XD as long as you're skill based.

During the possible best Sharen reactors (crit dmg, tech,) got 2 on both mix and phase. Mountings were questionable. 30m on both farms. Gaming should be fun and chill, not stressful.
Wait, so you're telling me that after I've spent 5 days trying to farm a reactor for my Blair that has crit rate and crit damage, I don't really need crit rate?😂
Depends on your build, if it's for killing Void Intercept bosses I would say crit rate is a wasted slot. If it's for mobbing it's okay, Crit damage and a power boost would be better IMO
Masterclass in extending video length, 7 mins to explain the basics of how damage works when it can easily be explained in less then a minute. Also, the expression is "exception to the rule" an absolute would mean it follows the rule exactly.
How lucky have you gotten with Best in Slot reactors for your roster?
Hard grind but almost done can’t wait for next update
Got my god roll last night after 3 days for my infinite sprint bunny now it’s freynas turn

Don't have a single BiS reactor on any of my Descendants.

Hahhahah I feel you, mine's also abit rough at the moment :D
Dude! You are the best TFD creator hands down! Great breakdown/info. Much appreciated!
Thanks for the comment!
Back to the drawing board, thanks for the hard work you put into this video.
You bet!

This is the kind of stuff that if I didn’t have math friends who played things like war frame, I’d be totally lost on, so good vid bub
Appreciate the comment
Started watching you from outriders time and I am glad I found you, awesome video 👏
Awesome! Thank you!
Just for the crits screen for every descendent you got my vote! Full Measure for president! 🔝🔝🔝
I thought Valby was a critter, though. Currently not using her, so I may remeber wrong. 🤔
She is with Supply Moisture, which I forgot while recording this :) That being said, 99% of the time you are using Supply Moisture for weapon damage
@@theFullMeasure Oh, right, that was it, thx! 👍
Actually, very lucky. When Hayley came out i got her best reactor without noticing. And for the rest of my mains, was the same. Thanks for the video.

We need that valby build vid on the valby setup u mentioned during the descendant list
Coming up
Amazing video! Thanks
You're welcome :)

It can also be very useful for an Ajax jump build as well. It allows for a more flexible mod loadout.
Hp heal is also good on jayber if youre building him like a support 😏
Gley neeeeeds cooldown/duration to loop her 3

Prettyxsurexyou want to balance all dmg stat sources

finally, now I can farm reactors
I hope they add new mods for reactors like HP MP DEF SHIELD% elite DMG% pickup range flat mana regen etc

I believe Valby can be grouped together with Hailey under Exception because of Supply Moisture increasing crit rate for skills. I might be wrong. 🤷♂
That's gun based damage though, so substats don't matter. Same with Enzo
**edit** i was mistaken, skill crit as well
supply also does skill crit so in that instance she can be an exception depending on build intent.

I hope th y just rework how the sub attack works to basically be a universal 5th ability for utility or movement etc

Skill pwr modifier is bad on skills with high base skill pwr modifier ie freynas 4th bc skill pwr modifier is additive.
