      You only live once! Go back to school if it is truly a life goal of yours

    Thank you for taking the time to make these video’s because there is not many videos out there. I did have a question. I’m going to be transferring to Chico in the fall I would like to live in the dorms but am I able to choose any of the dorms or are there specific residents for transfer students? I was interested in Shasta.

      I am honestly not so sure if they limit certain dorms to transfer students or not. When I was living in Lassen Hall the majority of the 3rd floor of Lassen was transfer students so I'm sure it is similar to that. I'm sorry I don't have the answers for that one, hope that kind of helped!

    What advice would you have about Cal State Chico for a non-traditional student, one who tends to be more self-focused and independent rather than group focused. Also one who never really grew up and became a part of what is considered typical for their age group; in other words, someone who never achieve the Milestones of those typical to their generation, the house, Parenthood, all that stuff.
    You sound smart and very much like you have your head in the right place. In other words, NOT being in college there to just party, party, party; I went to New Mexico State University - Dona Ana Community College branch and lived on the NMSU campus, so I know a little about college life. Considering the gender and Multicultural studies - AKA women's studies program at Chico State, or maybe creative writing or photography.

      I transfer to Chico state last year and from what i experience is that the school has a huge majority of traditional students. Its not like sac state and san jose that had mostly commuters, Chico state has a small town college vibe where most students know each other and has a huge social environment. So if want to get that college experience like joining greek life, partying or attending upper division courses ( more hands on field study) Chico has what you need. It can really look like what you see in the movies with the buildings on campus and the surrounding parties. But if you want to lay low and just attend class and study thats fine but you're going to need to build some kind of connection to your instructors and classmates in order to get ahead.

      @@jrjrjrjrjrjrjrjrj530 what exactly do u mean by traditional and commuter students?

    • @jrjrjrjrjrjrjrjrj530
      @jrjrjrjrjrjrjrjrj530 5 років тому +1

      EpicRandomUno traditional student means someone who lives on or around campus. And commuter student is someone who is driving to the school from home.

      " traditional student" so I learned while at NMSU Dona Ana, means the traditional aged ( re: chronological age) college
      student who generally goes to college freshman year right after graduating from high school. "Non-traditional college student" meaning someone who either skips a year or two after graduating from high school and / or taking their GED ( right about the time their high school class graduates), or, goes back to school as an "adult student" several years after graduating high school and / or taking GED. so I learned from students in several of the clubs I was active with who attended New Mexico State University main campus, in Las Cruces, NM; Aggies for feminism and Stonewall queer straight Alliance seeing two of those clubs meeting on the main University campus ( not Dona Ana CC where I took my classes).

    Do have some info on Chico’s nursing program? Like is it super hard or do u have friends in nursing ?

    • @adiamunoz8874
      @adiamunoz8874  4 роки тому

      Samantha Misenhimer I was a nursing major my first year and I ended up switching to Liberal Studies. In my opinion, I didn’t like how the program was so impacted. Meaning it is so hard to even get into the program and from what I’ve heard they are changing the nursing program to where it is required for nursing students to double major. Which is very hard! If it is something you feel very passionate about, don’t let the difficulties stop you! ❤️

    how expensive is Chico?

    • @adiamunoz8874
      @adiamunoz8874  4 роки тому +1

      honestly not that expensive! Chico State tuition is MUCH cheaper in comparison to UC or Ivy League and the cost of living in Chico is pretty cheap and affordable.
