How to Calculate Aspect Ratios and Why It's Important for Pro AV

So you have a space in your room that needs a display. How do you know how big that TV or screen can be to fit in that space? The answer is aspect ratios!
You can use the Pythagorean Theorem to get the width, the height, or the diagonal of a TV or display if you know one of those measurements and the aspect ratio.
Cartoon Tom makes his reappearance to talk you through the math, and this video will talk you through some common aspect ratios like 4:3, 16:9, and 16:10, but the principles remain the same no matter what aspect ratio you find yourself needing for your commercial AV project.
