i really think that all portable PCs, including laptops, but specially these handhelds, should feature an Oculink port, because with it, you could make a lit dock setup and extract all the power from any GPU you want with an eGPU dock.
If it comes with the option to have a non windows os on it out of the box then maybe it'll be worth it. Im not gonna spend all this money just to have windows and all its bs on my handheld when i already deal with it enough on my main computer.
1080p 120hz is perfect for this size, if Steam Deck had at least 1080p I would have most likely got it as there's lots of older games that would run it with a high refresh rate.
They need to ditch the camera. That's probably why the battery doesn't last as long. The camera is also just gonna hike up the price more for a feature that isn't really necessary for gaming. Besides, it's better to connect to discord with a separate device like a smartphone. A microphone would be good though, but they have to think of a way to make it work with the fan noise which it will definitely have due to cramping all that hardware into a handheld form. That said, it's better to add a headphone jack for audio I/O rather than a camera or mic. Battery is a non-issue as long as they contract with the right partners because there are tons of suppliers for longer-lasting batteries. And again ditching the camera would make the device consume less power, so it's good for the battery. Instead of the camera, it's better to add an interface that GPUs can connect with. USB 4 ports, bluetooth and wifi capabilities should also be great additions. Even without a headphone jack, as long as it has USB 4, then it's all good since there are now quite a lot of USB earphones and headphones in the market nowadays.
