    Hi everyone!
Today we are bringing this cute little brass duck back to life! 🐤🦆
We bought this old brass jewellery bowl from a flea market. It was full of tarnish and old paint leftovers, and it really needed a restoration job. What better time to do that than a stormy Sunday afternoon?
To restore this brass item we used products that you can easily find in your hardware store:
    - a paint remover: this brass decoration had some paint on top (we suspect the previous owner had painted the duck with a silver oil paint). Our 3v3 multi-surface gel paint remover worked wonders.
    - a universal cleaning paste / multi purpose cleaning paste - we used a French product called Pierre d'Argent which is clay-based and not very aggressive
    - steel wool in size “0”
    - a toothbrush
    - a brush to apply the paint remover - we used a very inexpensive synthetic brush from our local hardware store and it worked great
    - some polishing cotton wool - you can find this one in the car products section
    - a special polish & cleaner for brass/ cooper/ bronze - we chose a Starwax product which also acts as a protector, and used it in the last polishing stage
    - water
    - paper towels
    - protective gloves (if they are single use ones, you may want to double glove during the paint remover stage, they will dissolve), mask and glasses. Make sure to install yourself in a well ventilated area.
We were so happy to see this little duck all shiny and clean! ✨
