I have done this before. What they don't show is the display panel has discoloration or bleeding from the glass heating up after cutting it. For those asking "Why do this?", it is so you can remove only the glass layer on top of the display panel (OLED in this case) and the cutting is used (there are many other methods) to gain access to the different layers of the display. The display is heated to around 100° C. Next, a super fine wire, made of molybdenum and .04mm - .08mm thick, is inserted under the glass layer and above the display layer and carefully threaded in an arc to remove the glass. Replacing glass only requires some expensive equipment eg. vacuum separator, lamination and autoclave machines, degumming spindles; with a LOT of PRACTICE though, you can quickly recover the cost of equipment IF you have a steady hand and a background repairing electronics. Once you have all the equipment, the cost of materials for the technician repairing high end devices for glass only (sheet of glass with OCA) is approximately $10 VS approximately $150 to replace the entire display.

@@rewatechnology2008 To be fair, I should say that cutting the glass SOMETIMES can cause bleeding or burn to the display. The quick passes and location of the cut is key and the machine does seem very precise. Isopropyl may mitigate heat buildup. It would have been beneficial to the showcasing of your product if you had turned on the display after cutting it to show success.

Refurbishing the lcd with a new digitizer is what it looks like. You cut the frame off which this is exposing meticulously separate the screen from the glass and then reapply a new glass to the cleaned lcd. A hard job mainly preformed in other countries but a job that makes phone repair cheaper and better quality for all of us.

Из-за того что стекло изогнуто по краям, непредоставляется возможным под него просунуть леску для срезания стекла. Это единственный на сегодняшний день рабочий способ по безопасной срезке изогнутого стекла и пропил делается в самом безопасном месте, между дисплеем и датчиками с динамиком.
