the level of detail is insane for a replica. They even got the offset item sparkles exact. Those are usually offset to make them more visible in third person.
So, I'm a friend of Colonel's and I got several early looks at this map while he was working on it. We were talking about the problem with the Sheikah Slate being on your hip. It's attached to where the game detects your position to be. Your position is detected by where the headset is. Since the headset is sitting a little IN FRONT of your face, the sheikah slate floats a little in front. (It's also worth pointing out that the headset moves further forward whenever you look down, which affects it too.) He tried to work around that for a while, but it wasn't getting anywhere fast.
We talked about having the apples turn to Baked Apples when held up to the fire, but he said at that point he'd have to do that with lots more ingredients too, and he wasn't ready for that yet.
The sword grabbing all weird and the sheikah slate not falling when "dropped," that's just VRChat stuff.
I love seeing people encounter the guardian. :) It took him awhile to get it working, and for awhile it would just zero in on you forever without ever shooting. After he finished it, I sent a friend (who had never played BOTW) into that area and just watched his terrified reaction as the guardian woke up and took aim. :D
Just wondering, where can you play this? Is it through Cemu or is it still in dev?
@@harrythornton3099 It's a world in VRChat. So you just need a PC and a Steam account. (VRChat can be played in desktop mode without a VR headset, but for obvious reasons the headset is recommended.)
Also, PointCrow was making comments in the beginning about how the shrine felt too big. Nope! It was scaled correctly! There are a lot of little quirks of traditional games that keep you from realizing how big things are! Chief among them are the fact that your camera is zoomed out, making things feel a little smaller, and you're viewing them on a flat screen in 2D. Even playing a game in first person doesn't convey the sense of scale like true VR does.

I played vr chat worlds after i got a vr headset and they were so janky with how they work, like something like a shooting range would have the guns joints be in janky positions and you couldn't lock the hand position, i mean personally atleast something like pavlov does custom things better, although it might be interesting to try and make something like this isn't a half life alyx mod

I actually don't know the story of Breath of the Wild, Link has been asleep for 100 years??
I've only seen SmallAnt and PointCrow's speedruns/weird runs and never seen an actual playthrough of it.
I've never actually played any Zelda games, and only watched my brother play Twilight Princess. I thought it looked cool because Link turns into a wolf in that one. But that's the only one I kinda sorta know the story of, but I don't actually remember what it was.

Yeah, I'm not as big a fan of Legend of Zelda as I am Pokémon or Transformers, at least lore-wise, so it's fine.
It was by watching my brother play Twilight Princess though that I found out that the name Zora was not a name I invented for my Twilight Dragon OC, which I totally thought when I was 12 years old.
And instead being both an actual person name and also the name of the aquatic race of the Zelda universe. And a rare Silithid insect mob in Silithus in World of Warcraft, apparently.
But I did also recently learn that the name Zora means Dawn in Bosnian, and twilight takes place during both dawn AND dusk, so without knowing, I came up with the perfect name for my OC, a *Twilight* Dragon, which I created based on the Twilight Dragons of World of Warcraft.
Plus, apparently the name Zora is unisex, so I named my male twin character in Genshin Impact (similar to BotW in open worldness) Zora, and later I got a sword named "Harbinger of Dawn", given as a story quest reward, and I made that his signature weapon, despite there being other, stronger swords.
And I was also happy to learn that there's a character in Black Clover named Zora, who's a guy. He's now my favorite character. :D
Those are the reasons why the name Zora is my favorite name in the world. :3

You should do BOTW VR Multiplayer. It works, trust me. I don’t know how many people can play at once though. You should try to play this with Smallant and/or Linkus if they have a headset.

It’s actually more impressive considering the limitations of vrchat, it was just meant to be a simple v,r chatting thing but people have made games and entire worlds to explore.

Princess Bubblegum :3 if you've never been out in the country, it's not unusual for grass to grow over 3feet tall before it starts to get bent from the wind, so it's no surprise that after 100 years of people struggling to rebuild that most grass would be quite tall compared to a 4-foot tall person
