Sometimes I don't know what scriptures members and leaders are studying. So many distorted ideas have been taught from the pulpits and then repeated by many members. Recently the leaders have been talking more about the Second Coming but without a basic understanding of prophecies related to the events preceding the Second Coming. There are 4 major events widely prophesied in the Book Of Mormon and in Isaiah and even by Joseph Smith and yet nobody pays attention or study enough to understand what these events are. These major events which will have a huge impact in the world are: 1 - The End Of the Times Of The Gentiles (During this event, several things will happen, first the Gentile Nations will cease to exist, yes, the USA and Western Europe which according to the Book Of Mormon are the main Gentile Nations, will fall first, they will be destroyed by internal wars, foreign invasions by tyrant nations whom Isaiah describes as a modern version of the King Of Assyria, economic collapse, famine and other calamities that will fall upon these nations. During this period the Gospel which came to the Gentiles in America first will be taken from them and then it will be taken to the remnants of Israel by the Gentiles who repent and survive this destruction and calamities) 2 - The Gathering Of Israel ( This is the great work and marvelous work that Isaiah and the Book Of Mormon Prophets often talk about in their prophecies. This event will happen after the Gentile Nations fall and are ravaged by the King Of Assyria, the remnants will be gathered from east and from the West and from the East and from all parts of the earth, the seed of Lehi will be gathered in America to whom God gave for inheritance, the Lamanites of today will be in America and gathered here and many others from the House Of Israel will also be gathered here and in Jerusalem, this event has started with the mass numbers of immigrants that have crossed the borders and made their way in the US territory, there is no power that will prevent them from coming and many more will yet come, Christ was very clear about this event, you can read it in 3rd Nephi chapters 20 and 21) 3 - Zion will be established in America, not in Salt Lake, and it won't be done by any institutional church and not by the Gentiles, it will be established by the Lord through a servant that will be sent by him to gather the remnants and establish Zion. This will be the real Zion, with no poor and no rich among them, with equality and the true power of God will be there. 4 - The New Jerusalem will be built by the remnants of Israel, they will be the ones to build it and the truly repentant Gentiles will assist them and be numbered with them if they repent during this period of wars and calamities. Only after these events the Lord will return as he told Enoch. " 60 And the Lord said unto Enoch: As I live, even so will I come in the last days, in the days of wickedness and vengeance, to fulfil the oath which I have made unto you concerning the children of Noah; (He won't come during a time of peace on earth) 61 And the day shall come that the earth shall rest, but before that day the heavens shall be darkened, and a veil of darkness shall cover the earth; and the heavens shall shake, and also the earth; and great tribulations shall be among the children of men, but my people will I preserve; ( He reemphasizes the conditions on the planet, nuclear wars all over the world will cause darkness in the atmosphere, great tribulations and destruction, those who survive will do so by divine intervention) 62 And righteousness will I send down out of heaven; and truth will I send forth out of the earth, to bear testimony of mine Only Begotten; his resurrection from the dead; yea, and also the resurrection of all men; and righteousness and truth will I cause to sweep the earth as with a flood, to gather out mine elect from the four quarters of the earth, unto a place which I shall prepare, an Holy City, that my people may gird up their loins, and be looking forth for the time of my coming; for there shall be my tabernacle, and it shall be called Zion, a New Jerusalem. (Righteousness represents his End Time Servant who will have power just like Moses so he can gather the people of God, this servant like Moses, will have divine power over the elements, Isaiah talks about this servant as the right arm of the Lord who will perform miracles and gather his people with great power) 63 And the Lord said unto Enoch: Then shalt thou and all thy city meet them there, and we will receive them into our bosom, and they shall see us; and we will fall upon their necks, and they shall fall upon our necks, and we will kiss each other; ( Here the Lord confirms that only THEN, meaning after all these previous events that he and Enoch and probably many others will come down to earth to initiate the Millennium with Christ here on earth) 64 And there shall be mine abode, and it shall be Zion, ( Zion here is a place where Christ will live and the place from where Christ will reign and govern the earth during the millennium) The scriptures are very clear about these events, if we open our eyes and read the scriptures paying attention to them we can understand it clearly.
Thank you for your thoughtful reply. I propose to you, that even you have interpreted these scriptures, and it might not happen as you suppose. For myself, I do read the scriptures, but I am willing to be surprised with how they are fulfilled. During Christ's time there were many who knew the scriptures very well but they denied the Savior when he was among them. It might happen as you proposed, but it might not. I believe President Nelson to be a prophet of God, and he is saying that now is the time to repent, to turn to Christ, and to prepare the world for His coming. Grappling over how the final events happen will not do that. Let's come together in our love of God, and trust that He will do His work, and focus on ourselves, our communities, and share the glad tidings of his redemption. Joy to the World! How beautiful upon the mountains are they that publish peace. Not the peace of the world, but the peace that only Christ can offer. That's what we share!
@@camilleberry-rejoiceinHIM Thank you for your response, I am in no way denying Christ, the ones that “knew” the scriptures and rejected Christ were the more religious and attached to the ecclesiastical authorities of that time, mainly the Pharisees who were strictly faithful to the church rituals and ordinances. As to the prophecies, it will happen as described the scriptures, it’s not my interpretation. The scriptures are clear and plain to understand, you just read and it will tell you what will happen. The words of Isaiah are simple and clear, the Book Of Mormon is very clear about these events. I believe that President Nelson is exactly that, the President of the institutional church. He carries the title of a Prophet but in his lifetime he never produced any kind of prophecy, no revelation and no vision beyond the veil. Mostly he produced fabricated stories that proved to be untrue, gave elaborated talks and mentioned a few dreams which by scriptural definition cannot be considered any real revelation. Revelation is something new and previously unknown that is given directly by God, an Angel or the Holy Spirit. I respect him as the President of the church but a Prophet is a completely different thing. We have plenty of examples in the scriptures of what defines a Prophet. Preparing the world for the Second Coming requires a gathering in specific geographic locations appointed by the Lord, the scriptures are very clear about that, there won’t be protection in any other place than Zion, all prophecies confirm that, keeping people in a scattered state in areas that will be devastes by wars and calamities is not preparing anyone for the Second Coming, as I mentioned, look at Haiti and Ukraine as examples. The Lord gave the commandment and instructions to the early church to build Zion and gather his people, Joseph Smith tried it in his days but wasn’t possible due to rebellion and the church was then put under condemnation as recorded in D&C 87:54-57. We must definitely come together in unity and my comment is not about contention but about truth.

What my point was is all of us need to be willing to be humble in accepting that our interpretation of the scriptures may not be sufficient to understand the times. We need the Holy Ghost. Scriptures and the Holy Ghost must be our only guides until the Lord sends true Prophets who will do the work of gathering, this will happen at the end of the Times Of The Gentiles according to the prophecies, it will be necessary that true Prophets with the power of God be sent, otherwise people will perish under the terrible conditions that the nations will be at the time. We just follow the Spirit and the scriptures for now, although not necessary to attend any institutional church, people can still do it but they need to see that all institutionalized religions have become corrupted and are in lockstep with the world government and corrupt financial system which will be thrown down eventually.
@@FFM115 I believe Russell M. Nelson is a true prophet. As I said in my video, I have acted upon his words, and had experiences sacred to me that I cannot share. But I can say that I had an added measure of the spirit just by doing the things he invited us to do.
