I have a couple on hand right now. We're just trying to refine the process better for painted grill shells. The chrome or unpainted ones, I can make now upon special request. Please contact us through our website if interested.
We're doing them on case by case basis. Feel free to email me through my website with the configuration you're looking for and I'll get a quote on it for you.
I personally prefer using the 4000 model: www.dremel.com/en_US/products/-/show-product/tools/4000-high-performance-rotary-tool For a cutoff wheel, I often use the 543 accessory for bigger parts: www.dremel.com/en_US/products/-/show-product/tools/543-cutting-shaping-wheel For smaller parts I like using the 542 which is rare to find in store but worth it on small parts if available.
I have a 2011 which is a 2nd generation. But my grill is different than this one. I can't find a video on the 2011 grill. It's got one single large plastic bar across the front with the Toyota logo in the center.
The 2011 year model does have a unique grille. While the 2011 grille can be modded to install mesh, it's usually quicker and easier to just buy a 2005-10 model grille and use that one. That said, if you want to send your 2011 grille over for a while, I can make a video specific for that model year and modify it for a mesh install.
@@customcargrills I would really love to send it in for you to do the mesh install. Since I would be providing the resource for you and you would be making a video from my grill, would you charge me? My grill would be perfect for a video because I just bought a brand new OEM magnetic grey grill from Toyota themselves for $300 and I was planning on cutting into it and buying the pre-cut mesh to install. I bought the old white FJ Cruiser retro Toyota logo from eBay already. Can I send it in and you guys do the cut as an even exchange for supplying the brand new grill as a resource? As I said I planned on buying the pre-cut mesh from you guys so I think it would be awesome if we could work something out for each other? Thanks for reaching out to me by the way.
If you're providing the stock grille and emblem, I'll provide the mesh (slotted "Perf SS" mesh) for the project. I'd charge for the labor to do the install and return shipping and that's it. Send me an email ( info@customcargrills.com ) and we can get the ball rolling on it.
We discontinued the circle mesh from being pre-cut to make room for new products. The slotted mesh was outselling it 10:1 at the time, but since we've discontinued it there has been a bit of demand for the circle mesh. I can easily make more of them from raw aluminum, if you're able to paint or powder coat it yourself. Pricing is the same as the configurations shown on our site. Feel free to email me if you are looking to order and we can get that set up for you.
It would come pre-cut and pre-formed just like what you see in the video. The only difference would be that it would be raw aluminum and not powder coated black.
I wish someone would just make a pre-made grill.
We will be offering pre-made grills for the 2005-11 Tacomas very shortly.
customcargrills very shortly as in how long? April may? June?

How's the progress on those pre-made grills?

Do you have a video of the "deep style" installation??
Somewhat. I have a 2006-09 4Runner deep install here: ua-cam.com/video/C6Ig6HNiGnc/v-deo.html The principal idea would be the same.
I wonder how it is with washing your car?? Have to be delicate?
We haven't heard of any reports of car washing being a problem with this properly installed.
Can you send a link for recommended dremel. Or does it matter?

What are the measures on the emblem? If you don’t mine
The old school emblem is roughly 2.5" x 14"
could you use guerilla epoxy or is the plastic goop better
thanks just want to make sure it don't fail.
I'm doing my grill next week I'll send pic on Facebook
thanks again looks super easy

I don’t see this mesh style on the website? Am i missing this one?

customcargrills if I do decide to get one like that, will it come pre cut and ready to insert like the slotted ones?
It would come pre-cut and pre-formed just like what you see in the video. The only difference would be that it would be raw aluminum and not powder coated black.
How could I get to my hood latch with the mesh in my way?
You just open the hood from the latch above the grill.
Is there any other type of glue that can be used instead of pliogrip?
Yes, we frequently use Automotive Goop for Tacoma grills. It's much more cost effective, but has a long cure time.

where do i find the maya?
the maya?
@@customcargrills yes
what is "maya"?
@@customcargrills malla*
Ok, I'm going to assume that is Spanish for mesh. The mesh is available here: www.customcargrills.com/Custom-Toyota-Tacoma-2005-Grills.asp
What emblem is that
Fj? Maybe
I believe it was for the old FJ's. We stock them here: www.customcargrills.com/Grill-Lettering.asp
