let us understand the word multi factor..means multiple factor or steps are involved to authenticate you. like let's say one is your identity like your fingerprint which you don't have to remember, one is password which you have to remember, OTP where you have to carry your mobile so thus there are different way to authenticate you. Now in some cases say banking which is very secure. They are combing those type together like 2factor 3 factor authentication like this. So that hacking would be very difficult. That's it😊
I must say you make complex Simpler ..it takes lots of efforts to conceptualize and then deliver..was looking forward for this clarification in 2 part series
Okay.. I will create a separate video on that soon...oAuth is where some third party app where you have already registered will give credentials on your behalf..
hi bro i have one doubt on SP Initiated, How SP will know the which ID they want to redirect? Bcs we can use one Application with Different ID right (for example- red hat Application As SP, i used for onelogin ID & other use Okat, other use AuthO then How Sp will know to redirect the SP) please reply fast, its bit argent
Hello, Explanation was nice.I liked it. I have one question, which was asked in interview "how can we believe IDP That, they can't share our credential to other third parties"" Thanks, Gangadhar.
In this video I have only discussed the theoretical concept. If you want me to make a video on practical part then I will try. In your app you have to find out one IDP it can be any 3rd party where you will login once and it will provide your credential to your SP on behalf of you. Thanks
Yes, active directory is nothing but your IDP. Many IT organization rely upon active directory as their core identity provider i.e IDP. e.g. Microsoft Active directory.
