We have Charlie's Bait Camp between Seadrift and Port O'Connor on Intracoastal Waterway. This is the best fishing around. Espiritu Santos Bay and back lakes hold some of the best Trout and Redfish action you'll find.
POC fishing is so good that I moved here full time. Everything you said about the flat and water clarity is absolutely true. The challenge of kayak fishing is the boat traffic due to POC being a fishing and throughout the year winds can be challenging for kayaking.
Man that school of reds was awesome to witness
During the summer i do so good on the dock late late at night. Theres was a week straight i was catching 60 trout a night, with tons of keepers but i was just fishing for fun. Hooked into a couple bull reds too. Poc is a gem.
