can we please appreciate how the actors are so damn talented? the chemistry between all of them? the fact that they are indeed a family? that it goes beyond the show their affection towards each toher? the way that they all understand their characters SO WELL? the way that they act in such a natural way that we forget they are actors and fictional characters? just wow, they amazed me so much every time
Yea the casting for both the aesthetics/look of the characters along with the actors' understanding and portrayal in general blew me away. I will say that the first season had me on the fence, I actually am not totally sure why, there was just something not quite there for me, but this season I binged in an evening and was just absolutely flabbergasted. Soon I will be doing a re-watch, can't get enough of these guys. Also seeing clips of the author freaking out seeing them all in their outfits was amazing hahaha

You very rarely get to see a male-female friendship portrayed so well in media which is one of the reasons I love their relationship so much. The little details, like how Inej is one of the only people (if not the only, then she’s the first) to call Jesper “Jes” are great, but the bigger ones, like Jesper holding back tears as Inej walks away are fantastic.

I read the books first and I can't make myself finish the show because I was so heartbroken when I finished CK and I can't put myself through Kanej's slowburn again. Like it genuine hurts my heart. And I've seen some scenes, the "buried him 6 feet deep" scene and I LOVED it but a part of me was like I need Inej to have seen it so really pettily I can't make myself watch the show because of minor differences But mostly because I can't put myself through Kanej heart break.. Any Kanej scene feels like being drowsed in ice water but you love it 😂😂 Sorry for the massive reply btw got carried awa

Like, the RAW ACTING POWER from both Amita and Kit in this scene was so moving. And it gave us important platonic love representation from two POCs. Intersectionality for days. And the writing was so subtle. So well done.
Oh my god my heart. This actually made me tear up a little. I get why they may have deleted this scene (even if I hate that they did) but god, to have had a show about just the Crows where relationships beyond the romantic ones could get their own screentime and we could see Inej's friendship with Jesper and Nina would have been so good
Jesper and Inej’s friendship is one of the best relationships in the book. I hate that they deleted this. And the fact that they’re dropping these scares me into thinking we might not get a spin off or renewal
Interesting... my thought was that they're releasing these (slowly) to keep up momentum/entice new viewers. It becomes a new thing to get fans of the show riled up and talking about the show. Helpful when the full season is binge-able in 1-2 days.

I can get how the wesper scene didn't make it to the final cut, like it might be to early in their relationship to show that they're gonna live together. BUT THIS, THIS ! We needed this scene, this bit of closure between Jesper and inej at least until they meet again, this should have been in the final version of the episode

i mean she probably thinks she’s gonna be away for a long time but then discovers that finding her family is even harder than she thought since they’re suli & the suli are travelers so they’re never in the same place for long so that’s why she’s gonna come back to ketterdam somehow for the ice court heist.
This got me on the edge of my seat. This, in two minutes, conveys Jesper and Inej's whole relationship so well... She's like an older sister to him...😭💗Thank you for this Netflix I'll go cry now~
For Saint’s sake, why did they cut this?! I’m sorry this just became my favorite scene of the entire show, (and I’m a die hard Kanej stan, so it means a lot that this topped some of their best scenes together.) This is SO BOOK JESPER AND INEJ!! I’m absolutely heartbroken they cut out Amita and Kit’s phenomenal performance! I could list all the reasons this is flawless and canonically-accurate for ages: - Jesper always trying to keep everything lighthearted and his pain to himself, - Inej’s slight reflex and gasp when he hugged her but how she immediately relaxed into him because she knows he’s safe, - Jesper’s physical affection (his love language really, apart from jokes) - How clearly he loves Inej and is devastated at the thought of her being gone (who in the books, visited Inej every single day and night when she was recovering from her near death experience, who all but broke down at the sight of her so deathly, who physically and emotionally supported her when she woke up) - Inej’s overwhelming dedication and loyalty to her family, both blood and forged, - How much Inej (and Kaz) mean to Jesper since he lost his mom and has been away from his dad for so long. - The comment on Jesper doing his best to support Kaz as much as he allows I sincerely hope Netflix will grant our wishes and renew for S3 or better yet an entirely separate spin-off for our Crows, and if they do, I hope they might find a way to add this scene in as a flashback for context, because this is such an epic and beautiful performance, it demands to be seen!

i think this scene showcases a lot of emotion that we didn't see from jesper and inej this season, and i'm really sad it got deleted :( i feel like kit gets a lot of the marvel-esque silly funny lines and we don't get to see the full range of his talent. now for SEASON THREE WHICH BETTER HAPPEN,
This made me full on sob in public. Inej and Jesper's found family dynamic means the world to me. I'm in the process of finding my own found family because I've been let down by my blood, and to see them have this intimate and genuine sibling like relationship means the entire world to me. Thank you, Kit, Amita, for giving them to us.
This is one of the best and relevant scenes of s2 and they couldn’t keep these 3 minutes in the season finale?!! It not only gives us this much needed emotional goodbye between Inej and Jesper, but also explains why Inej couldn’t stay in Ketterdam for Kaz.
The scene is amazing! Just like the scene with Wylan and Jesper! I love them! Ugh, they always delete the good ones... Both Kit Young and Amita Suman delivered the scene! They did great job! It manifests their talent! Especially at the end of the scene with Jesper going really emotional it showed how much of a great and talented young actor Kit Young is! He made me tear up along with his character. Such an incredible and emotional scene! Kit's character is my favourite. I love him so much!

First of all Jesper noticing Inej is there when she didn’t say anything is such a good character moment. Then him trying to be all lighthearted and fun for the goodbye when he’s moments away from tears, the HUG, I am a PUDDLE OF TEARS (like Jesper when Inej walked off)
THE ACTING OF THESE TWO!!! Amita is SO PERFECT as Inej and Kit DELIVERED as Jesper, especially at the end. TISSUES WERE NEEDED

i mean she probably thinks she’s gonna be away for a long time but then discovers that finding her family is even harder than she thought since they’re suli & the suli are travelers so they’re never in the same place for long so that’s why she’s gonna come back to ketterdam somehow for the ice court heist.

For Saint’s sake, why did they cut this?! I’m sorry this just became my favorite scene of the entire show, (and I’m a die hard Kanej stan, so it means a lot that this topped some of their best scenes together.)
This is SO BOOK JESPER AND INEJ!! I’m absolutely heartbroken they cut out Amita and Kit’s phenomenal performance!
I could list all the reasons this is flawless and canonically-accurate for ages:
- Jesper always trying to keep everything lighthearted and his pain to himself,
- Inej’s slight reflex and gasp when he hugged her but how she immediately relaxed into him because she knows he’s safe,
- Jesper’s physical affection (his love language really, apart from jokes)
- How clearly he loves Inej and is devastated at the thought of her being gone (who in the books, visited Inej every single day and night when she was recovering from her near death experience, who all but broke down at the sight of her so deathly, who physically and emotionally supported her when she woke up)
- Inej’s overwhelming dedication and loyalty to her family, both blood and forged,
- How much Inej (and Kaz) mean to Jesper since he lost his mom and has been away from his dad for so long.
- The comment on Jesper doing his best to support Kaz as much as he allows
I sincerely hope Netflix will grant our wishes and renew for S3 or better yet an entirely separate spin-off for our Crows, and if they do, I hope they might find a way to add this scene in as a flashback for context, because this is such an epic and beautiful performance, it demands to be seen!

This is one of the best and relevant scenes of s2 and they couldn’t keep these 3 minutes in the season finale?!! It not only gives us this much needed emotional goodbye between Inej and Jesper, but also explains why Inej couldn’t stay in Ketterdam for Kaz.

The scene is amazing! Just like the scene with Wylan and Jesper! I love them! Ugh, they always delete the good ones... Both Kit Young and Amita Suman delivered the scene! They did great job! It manifests their talent! Especially at the end of the scene with Jesper going really emotional it showed how much of a great and talented young actor Kit Young is! He made me tear up along with his character. Such an incredible and emotional scene! Kit's character is my favourite. I love him so much!
