마태복음 4장
4:1 예수께서 성령에 이끌리어 광야로 들어가시니 마귀에게 시험을 받으려 하심이라.
Then was Jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
4:2 주는 40일 밤낮으로 금식하셨고 그 후에 몹시 시장하셨다.
And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
4:3 그때 유혹하는 자가 그분께 와서 말했다. 만일 당신이 하나님의 아들이면 이 돌들에게 명하여 빵이 되게 하라.
And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
4:4 그러나 예수께서 대답하여 말씀하시되, 이렇게 기록되어 있다, 사람이 빵으로만 살 것 이 아니라, 오직 하나님 입에서 계속 나오는 모든 말씀으로 살 것이라, 하셨다.
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
4:5 그때 마귀는 예수를 거룩한 성읍 위로 이끌어가 성전 꼭대기 절벽에 서게 하더니
Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
4:6 말했다, 만일 당신이 하나님의 아들이면 스스로 뛰어내리시라, 기록된바 그분께서 당신을 위하여 자기의 천사들에게 명하실 것이니, 그들의 손으로 당신을 들어 올려 언제든지 당신의 발에 돌이 부딪치지 않게 할 것이라.
And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
4:7 예수께서 그에게 말씀하셨다, 또 이렇게 기록되어 있다, 너는 주 너의 하나님을 시 험하지 말라!
Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
4:8 다시, 그 마귀는 높은 산으로 예수를 이끌고 가서 세상의 모든 나라와 그것들의 영광을 보여주며
Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
4:9 예수께 말했다. 만일 당신이 내게 엎드려 경배한다면 나는 이 모든 것을 당신에게 줄 것이요.
And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
4:10 이에 예수께서 그에게 너 사탄아 당장 물러가라, 너는 주 여호와 너의 하나님께만 경배하고 다만 그분을 섬길지어다, 기록되었기 때문이다, 하셨다.
Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
4:11 그때 마귀는 예수를 떠났다. 그리고 보라, 천사들이 와서 주를 섬기니라.
Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.
4:12 이제 예수께서 요한이 감옥에 갇혔다는 말을 들으시고 갈릴리로 가셨다.
Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee;
4:13 나사렛을 떠나 스불론과 납달리의 경계 곧 해변에 있는 가버나움에 가셔서 머무시니 And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:
4:14 이것은 선지자 이사야를 통하여 하신 말씀을 이루려 하심이라, 말씀하신바
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,
4:15 요단강 저편 이방인들의 갈릴리 해변 옆에 있는 스불론과 납달리야
The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;
4:16 흑암에 앉아있던 백성들이 큰 빛을 보았고 사망의 그늘에 앉아있던 그들에게 빛이 솟아올랐다, 하셨도다.
The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
4:17 그때로부터 예수께서 하나님 나라의 복음을 전파하기 시작하여 말씀하시기를 회개하라, 이는 하나님의 나라가 가까이 왔음이라, 하셨다.
From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
4:18 예수께서 갈릴리의 해변을 걸어가시다가 베드로라는 시몬과 그의 형제 안드레가 바다에서 그물 던지는 것을 보셨으니 그들은 고기잡이들이었기 때문이라.
And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
4:19 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하시기를 나를 따라와라, 내가 너희를 사람 낚는 어부들로 삼을 것이다, 하셨다.
And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
4:20 그러자 그들은 당장 그물을 버려두고 예수를 따라갔다.
And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.
4:21 거기서 계속 가시다가 주께서 다른 2명의 형제 세베데의 아들 야고보와 요한이 배 안에서 그들의 아버지와 그물을 손질하고 있는 것을 보시고 부르셨으니
And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.
4:22 그들이 즉시 자기들의 아버지와 배를 남겨두고 주를 쫓아 가니라.
And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.
4:23 예수께서 온 갈릴리 주변 지역을 다니시며 그들의 회당들에서 가르치시고 하나님 나라의 복음을 전파하시며 백성들 가운데 각종 질환과 질병들을 고쳐주시니
And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
4:24 예수의 명성이 모든 시리아 도처에 퍼졌고 그들은 병든 사람들 곧 각종 질병에 걸린 자들과 통증 있는 자들과 악한 마귀들에게 사로잡힌 자들과 정신 질환자들과 중풍 병자들을 다 예수께 데려오니 주께서 그들 모두를 치료해 주셨다.
4:25 또 거기에 갈릴리와 데가볼리와 예루살렘과 유대와 요단강 건너편에서 온 큰 무리가 예수를 따르니라.
