As someone who self-harmed for nearly 3 years (now 5 months clean!🥳), hated themseleves and wanted to end their life many times throughout that time, I have to 100% agree with this. @@thewasabithatmakesyoongicry I'm sorry for replying from a different account as I don't have my nightcore account signed in on this device, but I felt like this should be replied to as soon as possible. It was a hard journey to stop, and for the first time I succeeded only for a few months, then corona hit and I fell into it again, even worse. But how did I stop after such a long time of doing it? That really is a tough question to answer. I made a promise to someone that I'll never do it again. That person isn't someone I hold dear anymore, in fact, I hate him, but the most important part is- that day I also made that promise with myself. I didn't want to let myself down and regret it again, so I held on, I held on through a tough break up, through two deaths of my beloved pets in one month, and now I don't even think about it anymore, almost never. It's more about the power of will than anything else. That and changing your perspection, you have to see the world in a new way, realize that you are not a victim but a strong person, a warrior who is tested, but can STAND THROUGH these difficult test and win the war that nobody sees. If she can’t love herself how can she love someone else. She warns him about the demons inside and how she can’t escape them without someone’s help. She wants to love really badly but she can’t. The boy helps her with loving herself and they fall in love (This is what I think the song means. If you think I’m wrong tell me)
