Hoonicorn, would get eliminated in the Texas mile races, there might be over 60 cars that will leave the Hoonicorn sitting still at the start, just look up some Alpha Omega GTR's, and some UGR Lamborghinis.
I think the Hellcat would have stood a better chance if he wasn't have transmission problems, but power to weigh ratio is in the Altima's favor. Gearing is the only thing to save the Hellcat.

The Altima has top end with its light weight but ultimately suffers on launch. Its a drift car doing drag stuff. It isnt built to dig in at low speed. That hellcat will be a beast tho. Sounds like it has more than transmission issues and needs its fueling cleaned up. Once its good it should hook much better than the Altima and clear the 1/8 first.
The build breakdown of that Altima is the future of race car chassis design. Completely built on a computer, sent the instructions to a computer controlled pipe machine & had everything ready to weld up in just a couple hours. I wanna tube frame the back half of my '85 Corolla Sport GT-S coupe & convert it to IRS. Not saying it's not fun with the solid axle, it's just not what I'm used to. Either that or swap to a Weir Performance setup like Hurt.

I have a 2020 Nissan Altima Platinum..Already a shit load of Bolt ons added plus tuned. Alittle over 450hp. But still amazing to see an end goal for the car..
I doubt it was a traction issue since those gummy tires didn't leave any marks at all. But that's what would have made it a good race if it was sorted. With those tires and the 8 speed auto it should have short tracked better with the Nissan back halfing like a jet car.
