@Edmund Nyamupepema I was wondering the same thing how the wire is being twisted, I slowed the video down to .25 speed and I saw how it happens

The inner rod has spiral groove. The small welded inner knuckles rests on that groove and make the rod move in circular motion when the spring is loaded.
