There is not a man that can sing like Kenny Hinson not any where we have some great one in church ofgod and but Kenny is best of all God Bless him in heaven and to his Love one stay in Love with Jesus and you will see him again
Nobody does it better because one of the brothers is the one to whom God gave that song. He wrote it down on a piece of toilet paper, lol, when he was just a teenager during their humble beginnings….. In a matter of minutes. But it is an anointed song.
You can be in a bad mood, don't feel good. Are what ever, and play anything with Kenny singing and you instantly feel better. One of my favorite is look to him. , All time favorite. And call me gone, his name is Jesus. I pray I go to heaven see all my family and friends that's past and meet Jesus. And meet Kenny hinson !!!!!

Kenny had something that "A WHOLE LOT" of singers don't have on board nowadays,, it's called,,, "THE ANOINTING" it can't be bought it can't be taught,,, but it can be sought after,, through seeking GOD and selling self out to "HIS WILL".. there's alot of good singers but when you became a,,, "GOD SINGER" the "HOLY GHOST" starts moving in a service through a song, thats when you can easily see the difference only "THE ANOINTING" can bring..that's what separated Kenny Hinson from the pack..there will only EVER BE ONE KENNY HINSON🙏 ❤ 🙏

I took it pretty hard when I heard Kenny had past away in 1995, Still to this day, I can't believe he's gone and I miss him greatly. Now, as of 2020, Larry Hinson past away as well. Going to miss him too.

You cannot, find another person on this earth that could sing like Kenny hinson... His voice is so soothing, my favorite is, look to him by Kenny. I promise his family is not the only ones that misses him.. If your in a bad mood, put on some Kenny hinson and cut it up. When I listen to Kenny, I've got a sterio that's amazing I can cut it up on about 200 watts per channel , that's to each speaker and my whole neighbor hood hears Kenny. When I listen to the hinsons I wished my speakers was the size of Texas. Greatest gospel singer ever!!!! I love Ronnie's soon to bo. Another amazing singer. Ronnie I saw you in a little church in Aiken south Carolina years ago. Couldn't get no body to go with me I drove 2 hours there and 2 hours back. I love all you hinsons. But Kenny was like medicine. The hinsons is what started me listening to gospel music. Like George younce. Jason crab. But Kenny was special. And is very much missed. Dog on all that should be worth a free t shirt. Huh. Made me cry 😭....I was in service with the Hinsons for many years and even played a few shows with them when I played guitar for another Gospel group in the early 80's. I still cry over the death of Kenny. I lost another great friend and fellow band member I grew up with-with the same Cancer that took Kenny.... He was also 41. God is faithful and one day we will worship together again
I remember back in the 70s i had priveleadge to be. Violinist with them so humble and yes we had our struggles JUST as all evangelist ih how the spirit moves and. Saves

Kenny was so sick here; just being told nothing more could be done. He could hardly stand and if you notice kept placing his hand on piano for support. You can see it on his brothers and sisters faces that Kenny was so ill. Also, if you look at Vestel Goodman, sitting behind Kenny, crying. And her husband, Howard had his hands over his face. I believe they knew. Also, Howard 's brother (passed away 5 years before). Rusty sang "The Lighthouse". He was overcome. Kenny comforting Younger brother ,Larry as Yvonne wiping away tears. As Kenny turned to exit, it looked like he wiped a tear away just before he hugged/kissed Vestel as she was returning them. Both Howard and Vestel are in Glory. So is Kenny's brother Larry. I saw The Goodmans but sadly not The Hinsons. Also enjoy them this this song in 1988. Magnificent. This version so meaningful. He gave it all he had for his Jesus, for our Jesus, a beautiful, meaningful praise.

I read somewhere that this video was made real shortly after Kenny was diagnosed with cancer. You'd never know it by the way they all sing this song. One of my favorites. There was only one Henson family, and one Kenny Henson.

A clue that indeed Kenny's cancer diagnosis was known is the clip of Howard Goodman with his head in his hands crying at 3:15. The Goodmans are the ones that heard the Hinsons as youngsters and brought them from California to Madisonville, Kentucky and got them some gigs. The Hinsons initiallly lived with the Goodmans while they got established. The Goodmans recorded "The Lighthouse" and actually put on the charts also.
Kenny is the best of all singer no one can touch him he has two children a girl and a son also all people that hear Kenny Love him and iLove all the Hinson stheyare great

When Kenny was first diagnosed he told my dad before any media back then knew. I was was really young and I cried when they disbanded. I listen to them everyday and I have a poster of Kenny in my room. Nothing like the VOICE of southern gospel.

@tinaallen yes, he was sick. Vestel might have known. I think Kenny would have told her. They opened for the Goodmans. In fact, they were singing the Goodmans songs and were told to stop. That is when Ronnie wrote The Lighthouse. The Goodmans, Rusty Goodman sang it, recorded it and then The Hinsons recorded it. So Vestel crying may be for Rusty and, if she knew, Kenny. Howard, at one point was overcome because his brother sang The Lighthouse also. I would think Howard & Vestel knew. I don't think Gaither knew. He looked so sick. But, still praising his Jesus.
Never heard that before on the gaithers. The people were hollering for more. Even the other singer loved the Hinsons.
Ronnie Hinson has said that The Lighthouse was the first sone he ever wrote. He thought it was not good enough, so he threw it away. Then one of his siblings fished it out of the trash, and suggested trying it any way. Before that they listened to the latest records, learned the songs from it, and did it right before like The Happy Goodmen came out to.do their songs from the same newest record they came out with. So, the other groups said they should do their own songs otherwise the audience listened to the album songs twice. Ronnie left for a break wrote out the song, and brought it back only to try throwing it away. Fortunately they tried it, and of course it works. Praise the anointing of the Spirit of the Lord.
It wasn't his first song...but he wrote it on toilet paper and yes...it was tossed but Kenny got it out. They practiced it an...well the rest is history. I have personally spoken,spent time with, and shared meals with Bro. Ronny. He and his wife are so special to me.

My wife and I saw the Hinsons in Dayton Ohio at Memorial Hall. Spirit filled gospel singers. Kenny was sent to Heaven to show the Angels how to sing. One day we will be going home.

My daddy sang this song in church for years and years (I’m 49 and he sang it as far back as I can remember). He passed away 3 years ago yesterday. I’d love to hear him sing this one more time.

My favorite group of all time! One of the greatest songs ever written. That man on the end (Ronny Hinson) is not only a great Songwriter/Singer, but also a great man of God! I have had the privilege to travel and sing with him on a couple tours now over the past couple of years and I am honored to call him one of my closest friends! All the Hinson songs are amazing. They were (and still are) a gifted anointed family!

This man left us way too soon. God knew what a gift he had given him and needed him to sing in heaven. RIP Kenny, your fans and friends here on Earth really miss you friend. You left us with this song and there has never been a better song written. When I am hurting I can listen or when I am happy I can listen or when I wanna introduce someone to the best song and best singer ever I turn on this song. Thanks Kenny....hopefully we will meet again.

listen to this Angel or I should say angels what a blessing.I have played for many southern gospel groups traveled many miles sleeping on the bus from one location to another but god always picked us all up praise be to god and all his glory singers like this the hinsons are leaving and going home to be with Jesus Christ so we all should be thinking about our destination heaven or he'll it's that simple a child can figure it out amen.

I know I would have bought more than this video if "The Hinsons" had been in them. This is the only "Gaither" video that I know of that have them in it.

Don't look for anything better than this. forget it. If BG wasn't so carnal, he would have had the Hinson's sing 5 or 6 of their best songs and half of that crowd could have gotten saved. I'm talking about the crowd of entertainers on the platform.

How can these people sit there and not sing this song with them? Oh my goodness! I would be singing that song with them. It is an amazing beautiful song that had a very humble beginning. Just like Jesus had a humble earthly manifestation but HE is the same yesterday today and forever and everyone sings about him.
I loved Kenny. Learning to play bass guitar at the age of 14, he and the Hinson Family inspired me and I learned to play following along. They were a real blessing to me at that age.

The Hinsons was the best! They could stand alone and it didn’t matter because they were the best and all the other singing groups would come and listen to them because they were so anointed and that just can’t be bought!!
@C Johnson I am grateful for what Bill and Gloria Gaither have done for gospel music. I wish The Hinsons would've been a bigger part of their concerts and recordings for whatever reason they weren't and I don't care to as someone said, "spew hate and venom" against ANYONE That isn't in my heart. As Christians lets be careful what we say and how we say it. I can tell you there wasn't a hateful bone in Kenny's body or the rest of the family. I think as I said earlier that I think it's a shame that Bill didn't know who wrote the song as large as it was. But that's just Bill. He clearly appreciated and loved the song and I don't believe there was mallice against anyone intended. Unfortunately Kenny passed away and I miss him. But let's all love each other and not speculate on things we don't know happened. Suppose he didn't like them for some reason? That still doesn't give any cause to hate or feel badly towards him. Some folks unfortunately don't care for the country style or genre of their music. That's okay. God gave us enough great music for all of us to find something we love.

I remember seeing the Hinsons in concert in the 1980s several times in central Louisiana anytime they were close when went. the last time i remember seeing them was at a school auditorium in Winnsboro La. and they sang a long time that night. there were people there shouting under the spirit of the Holy Ghost.
Ronnie hinson is the greatest Gospel singer of all time. No one comes close to him. My dad use to sing his songs in church and still does. I believe he was one of the few true Christians that meant what he did. Not a sell out

Howard Goodman was crying so much. I wonder, was it that Rusty Goodman had passed away at that time. Rusty sang that song like no one else could. But, the Hinsons wrote it.
@doubled1598 Kenny was very sick with kidney cancer. Could barely stand. Notice how he steadies himself on the piano. He sang it beautifully. Watch the version from 1988 when he was healthy. Kenny with his Lord along with the brother Larry standing beside him. Howard and Vestel were both crying but Howard at one point was overcome with his hand over his face; I'm sure he was thinking of his brother Rusty also. The other brother, Ronnie wrote this song. The Hinsons story is so anointed. I remember them as a child, 64 yrs now. Kenny was a great Christian singer. Standing ovation.
