Mr. Polasek makes beautiful and relaxing videos of Greece. I lived in Athens 30 years ago and I was able to travel to many islands. They really look like this in the videos, but much busier with people than in my day. I’d love to go back!! I adore Greek people and their delicious salads and food.
Ive watched all your greek islands videos, some many times, best on youtube, so professional. Im in kefalonia right now and have been trying to visit the beaches on your video and now i fully appreciate how much work is put in to your video shots as most of the beaches are hard to get acess to, very few coastal roads, lots hairpin bends and many need a long car ride to get to each one, or a long hike to. I now appreciate just how much is involved in getting to all these beaches and monasteries, landmarks, villages, churches and archeological sites, many of which are perched up high in the mountains like eagles nests. Well done! Seems like a full time job and probably not much relaxation time once you visit it all plus the editing time!

Also you have to shoot at the best time of day for the sun behind you, to get the blues of the seas and sky and also when the sea is calmest. So much thought goes into your videos, and it shows, i love your work so much. Also your wife/partner in the footage is very nice to see, she makes me realise i can walk there too and i feel like i am walking with her. As a solo female traveller myself, she inspires me, so please don't listen to the comments that she should not be in them!
That's true too. 👍 In most cases, the problem is filming against the sun in the early morning and evening when the glare from the sea is too strong. This limits the time of day suitable for filming. I read all comments (... even if some escape me due to incorrect display on UA-cam) and I delete the rude or offensive language of some viewers and ban their accounts, because I don't make videos for such people and they don't deserve a place in the comments below my videos. This is also for the protection of other commenting viewers. Thank you so much, my wife will be very pleased with your words! 👍🙏💙

If you go to Kef, hire a car to get about and stay in the quiet part of the island, avoiding the crowded beach resorts. Kef is beautiful, clear blue water all around, with hidden coves and deep caves to explore, plus gorgeous sandy beaches and some amazing restaurants and bars. The people are friendly and the food delightful. Highly recommended, can't wait to go again.

I'll learn to drive just to be able to rent a car and be able to explore this fantastic island on my next trip, and not depend on buses. I’m currently here now in the town of Poros in Kefalonia. So far everything is beautiful and relaxing. There’s much more to see, transportation however is an issue and it’s a huge Island.
Yes, it might be an issue. Our Islands west of Greece were mostly late to the game and thus we kept them a bit as if "well, let's keep these for us, Greeks only". As you see most of the guys there have newly build luxury houses. So, we didn't pay much attention to transportation issue in those islands. But now that Tourism topped in Athens, Chalkidiki and our Aegean Islands ( 33 million tourists in a country with 10 million Greeks only and this year is projected +30% ), we revised our plan. I'm pretty sure it will be fixed in case it remains an issue. Sorry for now, though.
Objectively, don't we have the most beautiful country or what? It's like the Caribbean of Europe but with European standards. History that none can top, more than fine infrastructure and keeps getting better, sea, mountains, forests and countless rivers with fresh water all protected. We have places that are family-oriented, places for party animals, places for nature-lovers like Meteora, places romantic for young couples and whatnot. Come and live your Myth! You just need to do your research first. Unfortunately, one life is not enough to enjoy Greece as much as you'd like. I'm so blessed being Greek. Thank you, Zeus! I owe you big time! P.S. We love all Europeans. We prefer them because they're the most civilized, taking care of Greece without the need to be reminded. Polish, Germans, British, French, Nordics, Romanians, Bulgarians, Serbians and of course, Russians. Happy to have you all here. It becomes a true, crazy European mix.
For some reason I've been taken with Kefalonia above all the other Islands. It seems to have everything I'm looking for.It looks like it has a village feel to it but also larger towns for restaurants, shops etc.The choice of beaches is mind blowing. I could imagine myself living there!We,ll see,lol.😁❤
Only been tice, and miss it so much, two things are true about the island, once you've been, you want to go back, and you must hire a car to see these incredible places. We saw enough and filmed not enough, but we also missed so much as well
Hi there! Very nice video and you really did an asesome job filming it. The colors are really nice and vivid. I saw you used a panasonic GH4. Can you tell me what lens(es) you used and did you use a tripod or a monopod?
Thank you! 👍💙 I used the 12-35mm/F2.8 kit lens together with the GH4 and the Canon EF 50mm/F1.8 STM for night shots. I don't use a tripod, only a monopod for night shots with a Canon lens. 🙂
Wow, that GH4 looks asesome! I have the GH6 with the 12-60mm f/3.5-5.6 kitlens and a 15mm f1.7 so I hope I can record some footage which looks anything remote to your images.

@@robertpolasek It looks very similar to the look of GH6 this GH4. But GH6 is obviously a bit better. The colors look a bit nicer with GH6. For a MFT sensor you get very good results.
Not much tourists in june, we prefer second half of august to visit Kefalonia. Little, but no too crowded, but warmer waters. We are comming back in august 2024! We are in love with Kefalonia! Worth every visit!
I love Greece and I was a frequent visitor who always stayed at hotels in Greece, at least 60 days each year. But I will not visit Greece until the documents about Covid, and all the questions about vaccines and also all restrictions will be removed. See you in 1 year! Or 10 years? It's up to you, dear Greeks! The very best of the bests!

All videos from 2022 ... from the island of Milos to Lipsi are shot with the GH6.

Davinci Resolve ... I do color adjustments, including saturation of course. 😉
