Listen to enough files and you'll be conditioned for number 1, I would suggest you watch some of their beginner videos
And for #2, you have to practice relaxing, or you could listen to isometric tones...I think that's the right term

i did get hypnotised, but all that garbled chatter in the background was annoying & prevented me from going as deep as i would have liked to. it was like being hypnotised at a party, where you are in a room full of chatty people.
