Is it a problem with my phone or is the app no longer working? If so that's quite sad to see because I really liked it

Want this app so bad but my iPhone says I need IOS 14.5 or older when I already have 14.6. Any advice on that?

Nigel, not sure why that's happening. Let me look into it and I'll get back to you. Of you're on the Discord send me a DM, if not and reply to this comment.

Nigel, so I think we fixed the issue. If the app is downloaded, make sure to uninstall it and then redownload it fresh. If you're still having issues could you email me screenshots of what happening? Let me know if you get it working.

@@BomberBeta I’m still getting the error when I try to download the app. You might be using some kind of library that’s only available in iOS 14.5 and up. The error reads : “This application requires iOS 14.5 or later. You must update to iOS 14.5 in order to download and use this application.”

Oh gosh thanks Javier. I totally missed the issue Nigel was talking about. Ok so I think I have a solution, but the app will need to be updated. This takes a few days (depending on how fast Apple is) so I'll post back here when it's done. Hopefully this will fix everything 🤞

I got the app, looks cool and got a lot of potential! Nice one :)
Possible features for the 'performance reports' in the future: standard deviations (so you can more accurately see if you're scoring average or above/below average), and the ability to be able to compare your scores with other grades (so you have something to train for).
In terms of tests, I feel like side split and possibly hip internal and external rotation are quite important as it can help you stay close to the wall. Maybe through time your app can help us see if being flexible means you need less power for the grade :)

Ok I really like all that stuff about the performance reports, we're working on implementing some of that!
For the flexibility stuff, we struggled to find ways to quantify the results. For example the sit and reach is easy, just reach and record the number, but for other stretches it seems more complicated. If you have ideas on this let me know. I think it's an interesting aspect of climbing that gets overlooked.

@@BomberBeta I think measuring the distance between the 2 big toes would work in a side split. The climber has to be asked to face the wall, and keep the hips pressed against the wall (so compensating by sticking your but out doesn't count).

Hey, I have some suggestions, for one arm pull up you should put right and left arm because it's easy too have a strong side and for the one arm hang you should put different size because 3 cm it's quite big for some climber and for the max hang i like to test myself with 5 or 7 second, but that could be a personal preference I don't know which one it's actually better. Thank for the work the app it's really good and easy too use

Andrea, thanks for the suggestions. For the one arm pull-ups yes that's a great point. I think we were thinking of adding your total together, so if you did 2 on the right and 1 on the left you'd enter 3. Not a bad idea to separate it though, let me look into it. The one arm hang test needs some refinement, I agree. We wanted to make it so more people could participate. Interested in more ideas on this. Max hangs we just when for 10 seconds for simplicity. 5 and 7 seconds is also great, just picked one to make it standard across the board.

I would love to see the beastmaker 2000 being used for some of the finger benchmarks sense it’s practically in every gym. I use max 10 second hang on the bottom sides as one benchmark and max one arm hang for 10 seconds on the middle hold as another benchmark. Not sure if you would want like 7 different finger test though but I think including the beastmaker would be nice.

Nathan, thanks you make some great points! Yeah we we're trying to avoid adding too many tests so we just went for 20mm which is on more boards. Looks like the bottom outside of the 1000 has them. I'm not totally against adding more finger tests though, as it's probably the most important. I thought the middle edge on the 2000 would be too hard for most people to one arm hang? As more people use the app I will see if some tests are not being done and replace them with something like this.
