God I love the old Macks that High rise looks real good.
Thanks for watching
The red hose is also carried by the 3 stage high pressure engines in their hose beds . It can handle over 700 psi I believe . I don’t know what it is tested at. The couplings are painted white as are the 3rd stage discharges on the high pressure engines. That’s how it is easy to tell a high pressure engine on the street. It is used to feed standpipe connections on high rise buildings. I thought your viewers would like to know.
Yes I believe it’s 800 psi but I will check.
from UK I been fan of FDNY for sometime now. Love the fact they have so many type of rigs and now your Fleet Fridays is helping me understand them even more. Thanks keep them coming.
Glad you like them!
The magnificent sound of a Mack diesel starting up!
For sure!
Guys, be honest, there is actually nothing more beautiful than the good old "detroit diesel"
Thanks for the tour! I’ve always wondered what’s inside the High Rise Units.
Happy to help!
I've never seen a short FDNY fire truck. Its gorgeous.
Thanks for another excellent video Skyler.
My pleasure!
You may not need this apparatus often, but when you do...... nothing else will do the job. Excellent video.
For sure!
👍👍🔥♥️ those Macks
Thanks for watching
Nice looking Mack! Appreciate the look at tools/equipment.
You bet
Rail cart is interesting.
Yup, I'll have something soon on that
I really look forward to these. Thanks Skyler.
Glad you like them!
Thanks Skyler…I always look forward to your videos! Old firefighters like to see what’s going on. My best friend lives in Mesick Mi. Not too far from your dad. Maybe we could meet sometime. Thanks again, take care.
For sure! Thanks for watching my videos!
Never truly understood the purpose for these units until this video. Thank you for the interesting catch
Glad to help! Thanks for watching!
Looks awesome love the rotator lights and increasingly rare PA300 siren.
I agree!
Chatham,NJ still has their Mack Rescue Truck. It’s still in good condition
Cool.
Skyler, Thank you for "Fleet Friday", a great idea! I have a unit that I would like to see "Marine Ops" 4x4 rig. The High Rise unit is very interesting. Saw it being built at Saulsbury back in the day!
Hi Skyler! Really nice unit! Thanks so much for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
@@SkylerFire Hi Skyler! You're welcome!
Thank you so,so much 😊 for walk through of ALL the Carry equipment. Excellent 👍 job in your Narrative. Viewers like me, who will never get to get up and see what this wonderful Rig carries. Most of the filming shows them Responding. But Boy you knocked it out of park, 😊, showing the actual equipment.
Always wondered what was in one of these rigs. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the visit !!😉
Thanks for the visit!
Great video. I bet they get busy downtown in Manhattan. Thanks for adding them.
Thanks so much!
Is Salisbury still even in existence? I thought they went out of business. The old fdny salisbury rescue was amazing!!!
Don’t believe so

Love the fleet Friday content . Just an FYI the audio wasn’t the greatest, couldn’t really hear what u were saying at different points throughout the video
Sorry about that! The truck is loud!
@@SkylerFire no worries . Keep up the good work
The yellow fans are exhaust fans the red fans are positive pressure fans. Just for your info
Yup thanks
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks
I never seen this truck before
Mostly in Manhattan for high rise fires
Do you know how many Saulsbury units are left in the fleet?
Trying to think 🤔 the rescues are gone. It might only be these 2 high rise units
Awesome truck!
Great video any plans to replace them yet?
Not yet but in the talks
Nice thx 🙌🏻
No problem Chief!
Question: Does each High Rise Unit serve a specific area? Like HRU 1 serves downtown manhattan and HRU 2 serves uptown manhattan.
Technically yes. But if it’s in Engine 3 first due area then high rise 2 would be going
Solemn question but since this is a 2002 was this rig acquired to replace one lost on September 11th ?
Yes they got replaced due to the ones 9/11 destroyed
Are they getting new ones soon ?
What are the 6 outlets in the rear (and a few more scattered around the sides) for? They are clustered 3 and 3 on either side of the back door. Air compressor on board? Power outlets?
Good question I have no idea
My guess would be outlets for an onboard generator.
Was this one of the units that was seen responding to 9/11? It looks to old enough
It’s a 2002 was bought after 9/11
@@SkylerFire thank you, looks very similar to the one seen on certain 9/11 videos. Very nice rig for a specific purpose
@@zach071591 yeah cause I believe they where lasts 90s so they where only a few years old so same spec
Do you be chance know what the replacement rigs will be when they are replaced
More then likely Ferrara Cabs similar to Hazmat Tech Trucks
What is the overall length of it in metres?
It’s pretty short idk what it is
Impressive 🔥 truck 🛻🚒🚒🚒🚒🚨🚨🚨🚨🧯🧯🧯🧯 6:00
