They should have wraped up the game and made a 2nd one, or at least given true support to their mobile game, but releasing a few characters here and there can only blow some life back into this gane for a short amount of time.

Loving her already. The moveset is super well translated, and the usage of her undead is really, really fun. Plus, her dialogues and story are just so cute. Especially the Peacock bits. Loving all of 'em.

i think there is a way to backup your files so you can revert it on steam. there are texture mods that works for the new version that undo the censors.

Other than Filia’s panties (which is the only thing Twitter cares about), they removed her comb for being “racist to blacks”. Not only is this clearly not racist at all, but they kept it on Fukua which would make zero sense. Why would the thing “racist to blacks” still be on the black character? And as a black person myself, I don’t like companies giving us “special treatment” because this is just dumb. Black people are not the only people that use combs. All races use combs.
Removing the Egret armbands because… apparently people think it represents the Big Angry German Mustache Man?

As a black person myself, I really hate how the devs take the image out of context and just immediately assume it’s some sort of hate speech. If they actually cared they would remember Band was beaten for upholding the law, not for being black.
Removing the Soviet announcer to remove any semblance of Mike from his own game. If you don’t know the situation with Mike, watch a video made by Technicals. But long story short he got booted from the team for being autistic and easy to manipulate. The Soviet Announcer was also a Kickstarter reward, so that’s another fan-funded item removed
Changing the 18 combo counter to “spiffy”. This one really made zero sense to me. Like absolutely zero sense at all
Covering Cerebella’s stomach in the scene of Eliza stabbing her to death. Yeah, because despite this girl being stabbed to death onscreen, her stomach showing is “too visceral”
And in Beowulf story mode, the tongue on DViolet’s thigh was moved up some inches. This one also made no sense to me. Like genuinely I don’t get what the goal was there
Also, during the whole drama, DaPurpleSharpie made a tweet calling everyone upset about the update predators and Nazis. The main Skullgirls and Skullgirls Mobile account retweeted it too, until DaPurpleSharpie deleted the tweet
So as you can see, the devs are getting backlash because they removed fan-funded content from their fan-funded game. I’ve played this game for a long time (200+ hours on Switch, 500+ on PlayStation) and I don’t like how they go about “apologizing” to the black community like they did anything wrong. They range from minuscule unnecessary changes to literally deleting fan-funded content and fanart.
I know you’re not gonna read this post at all though. So why am I even still typing? Because I’m tired of people defending the devs saying “the game is still playable” and “stop thinking about Filia panties” and as you see I didn’t mention Filia panties once as an issue. BECAUSE THERE ARE OTHER ISSUES
