If you ask me, Donkey was the one who truly rescued Shrek. He was the first one to not judge Shrek for his looks and become his friend (albeit forcefully, lol)

You know how Beast became a human prince and ended up with Belle? Let's not forget Fiona gave up being a princess and became an ogre to be with Shreck. Now THATS love! :) ❤️

And Adam was a human to begin with so it makes sense that he'd turn back into one.

Bottom line, Shreck's story teaches us that we don't have to be "perfect" or "good looking" in societies standards, to have a happy ending. Everyone can have a happy ending. Sometimes the beast stays a beast, it never becomes a Prince Charming. And that should be ok
XpenANDpaperX I get that, however, I take the exact same lesson away from beauty and the beast. She fell in love with the beast while he was a beast regardless of what he looked like.
***** yes, and that's from Bell's point of view. But the "happy ending" was that he turned into a Prince Charming. Shreck is basically the same story but saying that happy does not requires a certain type of physical appearance. Or does not requires change. Also that beauty is not only on the outside. Fiona lived happy as an ogre even thou she lost her "beauty" and stayed an ogre :)
I'm not the one with the problem, okay? It's the world that seems to have a problem with me. People take one look at me and go "Arrrgh! Help! Run! A big stupid ugly ogre!" They judge me before they even know me... that's why I'm better off alone...
