Wow, this is a blast from the past for me. I used to go to that mall with my family when I was a kid. I have some memories of one of those children’s play places with those inflatable bouncy houses in the dead center of it, me and my siblings begging to go to it every time we were there. believe i had a birthday party there at one point. Crazy to see what has become of it so many years later.
This will be a new Super Walmart next year. I spent all of my childhood in this mall, from the Arcade and the Candy store in the back to later in my childhood stealing phones from K-Mart & almost getting caught. Pictures in the grand opening with my friends I still have, the bouncy house for parties. Such a large positive part of my childhood that none of the kids my age will forget. (almost 21 now)
"Retro Colored" store started as an Olympia Sports,, Most recently was a play area for kids. They hosted birthday parties, etc. That's why it's painted a bunch of bright colors
Lol this is a staple for urbex in Rutland, glad to see you guys visit my hometown for some good exploring. Also I see y'all made it to the roof somehow I'm assuming you used the hatch in the docking bay, which is probably the best way to get up there. I went with some friends a while back and got onto the roof by shimmying up this weird tall pipe that ran vertical between the corner of two walls out the back outside parking lot, stretchy for sure but it was a fun way to get up! Anyways you guys keep up the good work and please do come back to Vermont sometime soon ✌✌✌
I have been inside many times after its been abandoned and its terrible to see how its gets worse somehow everytime i go back in. Its really cool in the loading dock area i dont think you guys went there but theres another roof hatch there
Believe it or not I worked in the arcade when I was a teenager, they used to be a KB toy store right where you guys were at, I'm surprised you guys didn't get thrown out, they usually have security patrolling that just because of all the dumbasses up in their wrecking the place, homeless people living in it. What a mess, damn shame.
as a vermonter who us too go here as a kid this was great
Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for checking it out
I love the music you picked for this video.

Facing the front of the building. Kmart was on the left end. In the middle was JC Penny and the far right end was a Sears.

Went to this mall back in 2019 during vacation. It was weeks before closing. It was so dead inside.
7:17 it was many stores over the years, but the last one was a toy store.
