Not sure what state you were traveling within but this kind of racial profiling has been going on since the 1980's. If you remember, New Jersey was notorious for pulling people over based on their racial profile. They got away with it for a decade or so until the Federal Govt started clamping down on that state to end that practice. I can share with you that sadly when a non white person is traveling in certain states, they will be watched more closely. If you are in traveling in the North Western states like Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho you will stand out more than caucasian people. Police in these areas tend to have a power trip and like to harasss honest people traveling through those states. Does it happen 100% of the time? No. Does it happen 10% or 15%, perhaps. The more you are aware of the issue, the more you can prep yourself on how to respond. Best of luck.

I'm a Black woman, so this is definitely not my first time being racially profiled by the police, but I appreciate your comment. Let me also state here that the police were founded and built off of slave catching, so this process is much much older than 1980. I'd bump up that guesstimate of police harassment to 85% of the time, and that's be being very forgiving.

you are speaking way too much in code. i assume you are trying to keep things classy/positive, but you can help others by being more open and direct about your experience. subscribed

I would have to agree. We are all adults here and being able to speak out it openly really helps alot. Great comment.

I appreciate you feedback! I'll definitely consider doing a Part 2 that is more in depth, now that i'm not actively dealing with the police, like I was during the recording of this video.
