I've always wondered what happened to the actual full quality music files, were they lost in a data crash or something? This music is up there among the most memorable pieces of music from the 2000's. Wouldn't have it any other way.
The MNOG and MNOG II music was made by Justin Luchter. There's a high res upload of the MNOG II Ga-Koro theme on his SoundCloud (the track is just called "Year 2 Theme". I remember reading somewhere (a fan interview?) that the MNOG II theme was made with a modular synth, unlike most of the soundtracks. And the original files are mostly lost, aside from the one I mentioned, and a few tracks that released on a CD (including the Nui-Jaga battle theme from MNOG).
This is probably one of the moments i had in my youth that REALLY set me up to being curious of what lies within game worlds. The soundtrack is so expressive.
