Okay, I can confirm these are by far the most durable boots I have ever had. Ordered a pair of AG boots, used them on pretty hard 3G surfaces for the past 2,5 years and the boot proves to be literally undestroyable so far.
These are excellent boots. After years of wearing Kaisers/Copas/Nike Premier I felt it was to time to outlay a heavier investment in a modern football boot. These are light, satisfyingly responsive (wear thin socks) and suitable for those with wider feet. Two suggestions: Firstly, I'd recommend going half a size up from your official size as the toe box is perhaps otherwise a tad too tight. Secondly, I favour the AG stud pattern over FG. Still plenty of traction, but not overly aggressive and easier on the joints.
I ordered these yesterday and they are coming in tomorrow 👍. I wasn’t sure to get these or the mercurial vapor 13 and I’m glad I made the right choice 😂

The liner Nike used around the ankle on the venom is the hardest and most uncomfortable in the Nike line up. I love the grip and shooting fins but the vapor 13s are just a better boot overall
Dont get me wrong these are amazing boots, they really feel natural on feet. I love the sole plate, and the upper is actually more flexible and softer than the vapor 13s. It's really just that liner around the ankle that bothers me.
@@charliegilson7941 I find adidas fit a bit wider and half size bigger than nike. so If you can't try them on, go with the same size you wear in your adidas or half size bigger than usual for those

The part where the striking element meets the toe box formed an awkward crease that dug into my knuckles and hurt like shit while playing at first. What I did was breaking them in slowly. I soften up the creases with lil bit of water and wearing the shoes walking around for a while. That part then stretched, molded to my feet and stopped digging into my knuckles. Now the boots are very comfy. Hope this helps if anyone else is experiencing the same thing because these are definitely the funnest boots from nike right now, after break-in period.
I had the best team training session of my life today. I also wore my game over pack venoms and everything I shot went in. Great technique no striking element yes. Not really all technique.
are they any certain boots you would recommend if I was only looking for lockdown, preferably with a glued or non movable insole as well. my last boots were the original furons and as you know they were basically a solid plastic, but they held my foot down super well and i really liked the sole plate on them as well, but I cant find anywhere that has a pair for sale anymore

Tiempo Legend 8 would probably be the most padded simply down to having multiple layers, but I think the MIJ Mizuno Rebula 3 would be a better overall option while still having a padded feel.
Having a pair of phantom venoms, they are my best pair of football boots I’ve ever had, too bad I can’t play at the moment due to a sprained ankle I got while also playing in them 😂😂, not the boots’ fault though

Go half a size up from your official foot size. I'm size 8UK so I go down to 7UK for Kaiser/Copa, but on these the toebox is too tight for 8UK and so 8.5UK was re-ordered and they fit like a glove. Wear thin socks and wear them gradually 👌👌👌
*wear them in gradually Yes, these are also decent for wide feet. Been trying to get into Mercurial Vapor's for years, but they're just too narrow. With the right size and a patient break in time, these will prove the responsive gloves you're after
