Tarkin was too stupid to look at who benefits most from the outcome of the Clone Wars and realize who was responsible.
He was smart enough to know Vader is Anakin tho
Like Thrawn, Tarkin judged Jedi by their results, despite not knowing much about them or why exactly they hold back. If Jedi had embraced war more or had "vision how to use their power", they would end up like Sith (that's how exactly first Sith were born in the first place - few Jedi who had vision, played with dark side which led to conflict when they were refused). The war for Jedi was as much against Separatists as against their own demons in every battle.
Like I said on Star Wars theory vid came with this topic long ago and others, Tarkin was already evil and corrupt and looking for power, even wanted to use the death Star to kill the emperor and become emperor himself, but knew that risk because of how many people the emperor had around him That were working everywhere that could give the emperor that knowledge because he seen firsthand on what would happen to people they thought Darth Vader killed a lot of people for betraying him or failing. The emperor killed many but usually would kill them in his chambers so nobody knew he was a secret Sith Lord Master.

Yeah Tarkin had kind of fantasized about using the Death Star to take over the Empire,but thought better of it when he realized that Palpatine probably had accounted for that.

Tarkin mused that Palpatine either had a self destruct button for the Death Star that only he(Palpatine)had access to or a version of Order 66 for all the military personnel aboard the Death Star

Tarkin is absolutely correct on this.
Tarkin wasn't totally wrong here, especially when you consider that it was Jedi who placed the initial order for the clone army
Tarkin should be blaming Palpatine for this. He's the one who masterminded the clone wars and played both sides from the start just to make himself the Emperor of the galaxy.
