Stunning! As a Fantasy for piano and orchestra, it takes some beating. Nelson Goerner's performance is a breathtaking example of imaginative virtuosity while the brooding power of the orchestra creates a magnetic and vigorous sense of otherness which is utterly compelling.
Definitely one of my favourite Busoni pieces, alongside first and second sonatinas for piano and his Nuit de Noel. What a dazzling and charming performance with nice acoustic tone, much better than the old recordind, which. I have on CD. Thanks for sharing.
