The act didn’t go viral because the world is so bad it went viral because SOMEONE ACTUALLY NOTICED. We live such busy lives we don’t notice the simple acts of kindness around us. She didn’t think of how busy the restaurant was (and how the other customers might yell at her for taking too long or tip her less) she just helped she deserves it.
no - it went VIRAL because people think it's RARE for blacks to be nice people, they are running these same kind of public relations campaigns for blacks across american cities.
Doreen, if the world were a kinder, gentler place, this would not have registered on most people's radar as anything exceptional. I think you're right though, someone had to notice enough to take the picture, but the fact that it went viral shows that people are longing to experience more kindness and connection in their worlds.

Exactly, look at how many people dislike this video. Shameful.
It's sad, but it's true. Many people will not act kindly simply because theres no benefit. Even for waiters and waitresses, who may not even get a tip regardless of how kind they were because customers are just that cheap.
To put things into perspective, consider this. How many people would be willing to return a lost wallet full of money and IDs? You'd probably get a lot of people say they would, but when life hits you with the scenario many people will back down and do what is best for themselves.
@@inplane9970 I will return a lost wallet. I've done it before. There was like a couple hundred bucks in it and I didn't even touch it. I just gave it back to the person that belong to. @@blessingsonblessings4756 I believe she is a good person, but shouldn't we all be like that? It is just wrong that this behaviour is so rare these days that it gets to the news. sz wow I understand and agree. She didn’t do it expecting anything out of it and that’s how it should be. However kindness does seem to be rare these days. The real problem is that education shouldn't be so expensive that an entire generation needs to collect tips and wait tables.
Education is expensive. It'd be nice if the government introduced a program where you were indebted to them in work hours depending on how much you payed for college. Depending on the degree you get, you work for a fair amount of time. It could be working in the military, for a police force, or for another government sponsored job.
@@karbonkai tuition got expensive excatly because of gouvernment policies, i hardly doubt more would be better.
@@richarddaigle8777 I'm not sure how government policies made college expensive, schooling is just costly because of supply and demand.
@@karbonkai There are other ways though compared to the American schooling system. Here in the UK, we get higher education paid for by a company called student financing company. Then after you graduate and start earning a minimum of £26,575 a year the money starts coming off your paycheck, and not in ridiculous amounts. It's an investment in your future. It's also written off after 30 years after you start re-paying it so don't have to worry about it in your older age if you haven't fully re-paid it.
@@parthkachhia4117 that's a system that makes sense. That particular company is profiting off the interest they gain from the loans, but the government would gain from free labor.

Happy for her but like everyone's saying in the comments, to be hugely awarded for an act of kindness isn't a great sign for society because that implies that we're really lacking in doing good things for others. Another thing that saddens me is how distant people or strangers are to each other nowadays, my parents always tell me how people treated each other differently back in the day. People used to treat each other almost like family and would be there for each other, doing kind things for each other, not all the time but much more common. There are many reasons for that, like how social media distances people away from each other in real life, or how gradually increasing crime rates drive fear towards each other. @Kewana Nedd I know it can’t be like this all the time but one little act out of compassion and kindness goes a long way! Keep up the good work all of you in this comment chain, y’all seem like sweet people! You can make a change! 💕
God bless you. Because now a days kids forget how to treat elders with this kinda love.
Andy S I would cut meat or even feed the person if I was her mate
@@theytwatcher950 You have a good heart!.
And that's what we should get from this video. You're very right, the importance to treat elders with kindness
@@sossoft @ Yes very true : )
“God?” Praise the Flying Spaghetti Monster
Beautiful. I’m grateful to hear a good news story. Sweet, kind girl. ❤️
This young lady was raised right ..godbless you and your kind ❤
And she has the cutest face with the dimples too awwww. People are ok sometimes lol. Its nice when we all get along you know.
Vicky Noneya Nah obesity shouldn’t be glamorized
@@BudderB0y2222 stfu your mom and gf are probably fat
Nothing wrong with it as long as it doesn’t cause problems to herself or people around her.
@@BudderB0y2222 And you're shaming her for being ``obese``, your point?
Chelsea Kendrick I’m going to preface this by saying I 100% do not agree with what Brendan said but shaming someone for something they can’t control is not equivalent to shaming someone for something they can control.
How can you dislike this video?
...coz you're a hateful racist.
Exactly my thoughts Tessa. This is about basic human compassion. Don't know who would dislike this video.
You are dead inside :/
Gerardo fw Huh
Tessa P they were doing the bird box challenge 😂
Just plain kindness. So beautiful.
Beautiful young lady! God bless her!!!
This is just sad. That our world has gotten so cold and evil to the point that cutting meat in a diner goes viral. Very very sad
Nicky M eh, it’s the little things, you know.
I see shit like this at literally every restaurant yet this lady gets lucky.
I've never seen it until now
No it's the fact that she got a scholarship. If you really think everyone in the world is cold and heartless you need to open your eyes
Think about the more positive side of things. It’s more like her kindness is being acknowledged so that people will see and want to do their own acts of kindness and it’s basically the butterfly effect 🦋
