Well not everyone follows that logic I guess. It's plausible that he preferred to have Jin's mother more than her child and that was his way of looking at it. Once you go down that path the hatred easily grows. It's sad and not very humane or fatherly of him but there we go.
It’s something that happens often, even the real world. A soon to be father finds out that the woman he loves could die (or does die) in child birth and automatically hates the child, because they need something or someone to blame for the pain their loved one is going through. It’s sad but true.

No matter how hard susu try, he still ended up becoming the devil. He was hated by his own father, his own sibling wanted to kill him and even the maid who was with him for almost his whole life also resented him 😢
No in the end the devil ended up becoming HIM and he did it because it was the only way to close the all ending chain of events storm that Susu bio God dad opened, he had no other choice, he too sacrificed his own life for the world that susu helped him see.
His father’s story reminded me of a friend. I have a friend who also lost his wife while giving birth to the child. He doesn’t hate the child but every time he sees the child he was reminded too much of his beloved wife. His elder brother adopted the child and well raised him as his own son.
Luo Yunxi is an excellent actor! Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu have great chemistry, I like every video they have made together. Luo Yunxi (34) is six years older than Bai Lu (28) which is perfect for the roles they have played together.
Tbh honest, the first few minutes of any good movie can make you predict how great the movie will be, and this movie just portray exactly that, not only has the movie been impressive but all characters are portraying their role flawlessly !!, The acting is superb, the story line is fucking great, and the characters just grow into their role so naturally, the first four episodes has not only caught our attention and time, but has also given us a good use of our time, and the most interesting part ??? There is still more episodes to wait for !!, for me The best ancient constume drama this year 💙💙💙.
Everybody keeps calling him freak, monster but the real freaks, monsters are them. How can they bully a little kid like this? Bullying someone who is helpless gives them the feelings of powerful but does it really make them powerful? Nothing can hide their insecurity. I feel pity for such freaks.

The monologue is like a massive punch to the gut. While he may not be able to feel, it’s human nature to want to be accepted and loved. The saddest thing is it didn’t matter if his intentions were good and he never hurt anyone, because it was deemed meaningless if one can’t feel it. I love the use of the dreaming because dreams are a reflection of our deepest desires. The real tragedy is that he’s the shadow parallel to Prince Lin whose life is the complete opposite to his own, and having to see the things he tried to work so hard for assigned to Lin literally since birth. Regardless of emotional capability, pain is universal. This ep would likely hit harder for those who don’t fit in and are different than others around them. For example, those who aren’t social or perhaps easily misunderstood. While it’s logical to try and be like the majority, it consumes more energy. And that underlying pain remains because you’re not accepted for who you are. It’s horrible that this trauma is so deeply rooted to the point where he believes he deserves to be punished for something that was out of his control, simply because it caused others pain. It would explain immensely why he never retaliated against his wife and her abuse towards him even though they were both under the influence. For broader context, while it’s also for the sake of character building, for the mother’s death to occur at childbirth is considered a bad omen, the surviving child itself is a curse but clearly there is no logic to this. The belief was emphasised in the biography ’Chinese Cinderella’ by Adeline Yen Mah. The author’s experiences mirror that of TanTaijin’s suffering. There is nothing more painful than be made to think you shouldn’t have been born, even if it meant there would be a greater good.
