Ryan, and everyone that helped during this night full of tornadoes. My daughter was smack dab in the middle of the tornado that destroyed parts of Covington, TN. It was because of this team she and her young son were able to get to safety in time. She had texted me saying she was scared and I was able to give her directions because I was watching you. Just wanted to say thank you for all your hard work!

At one point there were 19 tornados on the ground simultaneously. Ryan continued to stream for nearly 12 hours despite being sick and making it difficult for him to speak. I couldn't imagine trying to keep up with 19 tornados and telling people what they should do while sick. You're a good man Ryan.

I watched a stream he did a couple years back in March, before he had the whole squad of people he has now and it was just him, his computers, and his camera. I’m so glad he’s got a team of meteorologists and other tech people working with him to keep on top of it all now, because that was an insane night, with warnings dropping faster than he could even name. He’s a legend.

    • @junkiexl86
      @junkiexl86 Рік тому +13

A Warning doesn't = actual tornado on the ground. Just means rotation is indicated. Historically, most "warnings" dont go on to produce anything, but that's not an excuse to not take it seriously. Treat every warning as an actual tornado. I know we do. We lost everything in the Moore F5 in '99 only to move to to a different neighborhood and take another direct hit by the Moore EF5 in 2013, 14 years later...I cant stress to people enough how serious these things can be and the "It wont happen to me" mindset can get you killed.
I applaud people Like Ryan, Andy and all the people that got involved to give everyone a heads up in realtime as these storms came through. This part of the country is deadly this time a year and people get complacent. I know we did.

@@junkiexl86 i have always wanted to meet someone like you. What made you stay/go back to Moore after something like that? 😮 And you’re absolutely right. it could be an itty bitty rope or just some twisty sky wind, but it could also be a Moore or a Joplin or an El Reno or any of the ones we saw on March 31st. In order to live, we gotta treat every warning like the latter.

Our local radio had no information. Our local television stations were very late to break in. I was informed for 30-60 minutes before the storm arrive thanks to you. I can't thank you enough for your work. I live on the south side of town, the tornado was half a mile from my house. I know people who lost their homes and were trapped in them. Three people in our community lost their lives to that storm last night. It's an unforgettable night and I honestly can't thank you, Brad, and the rest of you involved. Brad, thank you for spotting that cell and coming down to spot it for us.

I started watching the stream about 1:30 or so CDT. I live in southeast Illinois, was getting prepped for some serious weather. Was praying I didn't see my town on the list, saw the Little Rock tornado, and all the rest. As soon as the watch was extended to my locale, I went to a friend's house to stay in his basement for shelter. Then, suddenly, about 9:00pm CST, Ryan had focused on my region. The last thing you want watching these streams is to see your town and hear Ryan say the name, but it's the first thing you need. Thank you, Ryan, for warning me and my friend's family as a tornado passed right through our town. Praying for all those who've lost so much today.

BRAVO ZULU to Ryan Hall, Y’all and his crew. He saved my daughter and grandson by alerting her town to take shelter immediately while he watched this tornado formed about a mile from her house. There were no siren at the time but came on after my daughter and my grandson was already in a safe position. I was on the phone with her to calm her down. They could hear the tornado and wasn’t sure it was coming towards her. It was the most frightening thing I’ve experienced with her. Actually it was sad… we said I love you and goodbye not knowing what might happen. I thank GOD for Ryan Hall!! Ryan, you deserve a medal!!! ❤️

I watched you stream this for over 9 hours! I then rewatched around 4 hours of this again!
You are by far one of the very best live weather reporters ANYWHERE! You are so very much appreciated!
You, your sister Carly, Andy Hill, along with your team of chasers are such high value assets to quite literally AMERICA, helping to protect millions upon millions of citizens!
As a content creator I know that the only way to get better at what you do, or improve upon yourself is to not only be doing this for a long time, but also be able to take constructive criticism!
I have a couple of suggestions for you that can help add to the effectiveness of your reporting, and making surrounding communities more aware!
If when nameing the path of the storms/effected areas, if you would also please start showing the speed in which the storm is traveling, and an estimated timeframe for the upcoming/affected areas! This could be valuable! I understand that last night was unusually chaotic, and that your mind was racing all over the place as you had up to 19 warnings all at once!
It seems logical that you stay focused on what appears to be the most dangerous looking storms on radar! You did an excellent job of doing this!
I also notice in chat that you have a great number of people asking simple questions in regard to what alot of the different levels of warnings actually mean.. perhaps you would want to create a separate video all about this, and possible use clips from this livestream as a great example... and put the video on your 2nd channel!
Sadly it seems these days that there are still soooooo many people that do not take regular "Tornado Warnings" seriously.. it is not until they either hear/see the storm, or hear/see PDS attached to it in order to take it seriously! IMO. ALL WARNINGS should unequivocally be taken very seriously!
*_EXCELLENT COVERAGE of this historical tornado outbreak!_*
*_Once again, just an absolutely astute job!!!_*
    _Thanks Ryan!_

also, at 7:06, you can see the really well-developed twin couplets which later split into corresponding hook echos. There had to be two on the ground like the ones in Sigourney, IA recorded by Vince Waelti.

Thank you Ryan for all the information on the tornadoes. This was so intense as we sat here listening to you...we're in California. To hear about eight tornadoes happening all at once was so scary. Thank goodness there are people like you who spend so much time giving out all the information and locations to so many people. You and your team are amazing. Thank you.

Thank you, Ryan for your channel. We watch you when storms break out in our area. We watched the Mississippi tornadoes that tore up parts of Mississippi. We bought stickers to help out those towns in need, not knowing the next week that our area would be hit. We live in Brighton, TN, just outside Covington. Thankfully, we were spared any damage, not even rain, but sadly areas of our community were hit really hard. It's hard to see the damage in person! Had I not been subscribed to your channel, I don't know that I would have been aware of the approaching tornado. I was able to warn family members to take shelter. Thank you and your team for all you do to keep us safe.

Terre Haute Indiana here. My husband watches you all the time. He had your channel on last night, and said it helped him tremendously. We are 20 minutes from Sullivan. We had a lot of high winds and the pressure in the house went out at 10:58 pm; we were downstairs watching. You could hear the whistle of the air leaving house. Everything got real quiet so we headed to basement. We’ll be walking property when wind calms down to see what it took down.

Was on my way home around 1am from a night out with the wife, on the drive home we got caught in a tornado. The most insane thing we have ever experienced, this was in western Ohio. Rain wrapped and at most 15ft of visibility. Steel barrels, tree limbs of considerable size flying horizontally through the air. Luckily we made it through with no injury or damage to our car. Everyone effected by these storms are in my thoughts.

Ryan, thank you for dedicating so much time following storms and keeping us in the loop. As a weather nerd, I appreciate the science behind your streams, but as a father, I appreciate the live breakdowns of weather. Last night we were able to check in on my sister in law as the tornado rolled through Sullivan, IN. Shortly after I saught better shelter for my wife and son as we prepared for the tornado to roll through Franklin, IN. Thanks to your coverage, it was an easy and informed decision. The tornado ended up passing 3 miles north of our house, but we could see the clouds and hear the wind that came with the tornado. Lots of trees down in our town... but thankfully, there was no damage at our house as I was following your stream early in the day and was able to put away loose objects on our property.
Keep doing what you're doing, it makes a difference.

Your quick and constant reporting helped save my husband from being in Little Rock when the tornado touched down. He was headed east on the 40 in Morrilton and was about to head into Conway when I told him to pull over at a gas station and wait because of the storm tracker. I was able to guide him with Yah's instructions and your maps... and he left when there was a short break in the storms. He headed south from Little Rock and was able to stay in front of the next round of storms and reach his FOB station/group safely in Leland, MS. He is with Grindstone Ministries now for relief work. They were the ones who told me to follow you. It was all Yahweh guiding you, guiding me, guiding him!! Hallelujah! Please keep doing what you're doing. The best reporting on the internet!!!

I was at work at one of the local hospitals (Linton) and Sullivan county was coordinating with us incase there was an influx of patients. I made the call to get all of our patients in the hallways away from windows and got them extra blankets/pillows to cover up with. It was scary but we had to keep our cool for the patients.
