We Found This Tavern on the Ice Road

Here is the next episode/installment for my series FORGOTTEN WORLD. This is the full 20-minute episode about the Ice Road we got lost on, spilled some fish, and a discovered beer cocktail called Chileada Picante. On this adventure I took a trip to the Coolest Bar in America. When it comes to taverns in America I guess I just look for things that I find novel and unique. This one seems pretty much at the top of that category. To get there, we drove three miles out on the ice on a frozen lake in northern Minnesota. It was the first time and probably the last time I'll do a drive like this. "Ice road taverns" typically refer to bars or taverns that are located along the ice roads, which are temporary frozen highways that are created during the winter months in some parts of the world, particularly in northern climates. These roads are typically used to transport goods and supplies to remote areas that are otherwise inaccessible by land, and they are often used by ice truckers to transport goods to mining sites, oil rigs, and other locations. Overall, ice road taverns are an interesting and unique aspect of northern culture and provide an important service to the people who live and work in these remote areas. It should be noted that, Ice roads, also known as winter roads, can be incredibly dangerous and unpredictable, particularly in regions with extreme weather conditions.
The ice road seemed to go for miles. You could hear the sound of the ice cracking and creeping under the weight of your vehicle as we drove. It felt like we were driving on another planet.
