A gem of a song. It all stars with artistry of words by Shailendra ,music of Shanker Jaikishen ,dance by Cuckoo and Helen and singing by Lata and Geeta Dutt. Song also shows coming age of Helen and decline of Cuckoo .

This is a fabulous song, no doubt; but the screenplay clunkers in it can prove to be bothersome to a few. Lata is supposed to lend her voice to Helen, and Geeta to Cuckoo. However, in a few segments of the song; you'll notice that Cuckoo mimics singing for the voices of both the singers. Observe at 00:42 , and at 1:25
Similarly, at 3:00 Helen does the same for Geeta's voice as well as Lata's.
Also, this might sound like I am nitpicking, but I feel like a small fraction of Cuckoo's flair is absent from her dancing in this song. I wonder what the reason could be! Perhaps she was feeling self-conscious before the establishing act that she was standing parallel to, which is Helen.
