One important thing: if you get a visit from a pirate ship, you don't necessarily have to run away if your ship doesn't have weapons and can't defend itself. What you can do is send a shuttle and BOARD the pirate ship and eliminate the enemies from the inside. Just make sure you save your game before trying 😉

@@DrawingPin_ very true and it could be a great moment in video game history for your channel ! Are there pieces of equipment you could craft for your boarders that would help ? I am thinking: assault rifles, smg's, armor...also, why send them in spacesuits since the pirate vessel has atmosphere ... since space suits are cumbersome and inflict penalties.

I do this all the time, robbing pirates is a great way to get weapons and resources to help you get ahead.
