I am super excited to start building my first 1/14 scale Tamiya Semi truck (I'm not counting the Buggyra race semi). This thing has so many cool details to it - which makes it a long build. I put in about 4-5 hours to get it to the point its at in this video. I built the axles, transmission and steering assembly and had an absolute blast. More to come. I will be slowed down as I wait for my Multi-Function Control Unit to arrive.

nice choice I got the same one its still in the box since last summer lol to many other custom builds yet I am getting ready to start it up after a few more tracked skid steers.. I'll be definitly following this build

Thanks man yea I am I the same boat with the mfc and drivers seat issue. When I start the build I am going to look into trying to design a 3d printed bracket to relocate a bit so I can have the room for a driver 👍🏼

Very cool build video. Great pace. Popcorn in two minutes? 😉 And yeah, good idea to leave it black at first. You can always apply the decals later.
Nordic RC Visions haha. You can have only one handful of Popcorn. 🍿 🤲 I recorded that before I knew how long it would run. I decided to keep speeding it up until it was only 2 minutes. That’s right about the decals

Tamiya instruction says NOT to use DIGITAL servos. You are using savox DIGITAL servos.???

That is so cool! I drive a semi and I’m dying to get one of these and a trailer to play with. It could even be a fun training tool. I’ve never had an RC model before. Is there a website where I can pay someone to assemble one for me?
There are places that do that. I've seen some on Facebook. They can even use custom parts to replicate your own truck, which I want to do when I have the money

I say I'm not a builder...but I've been doing a lot more building these days. Most of the monster trucks are bought, but stripped down to build them up stronger.
@@CCxRC it is one of the thing i enjoy about this hobby Building and fixing. 😜
To make this truck a more realistic peterbilt model you need to move the axle forward a few millimeters and the sleeper needs to have the height shortened a little bit so it's level with the cab go to my channel i have a dco peterbilt truck that looks similar to it

You mean to tell me that thing is $500 you have to buy the guts...too wtf .. what's the lights what's the trailer and now you need lights for the trailer... Thank you for sharing I'm not buying one of these... A $300 foam airplane comes with lights and everything minus a radio...wtf. and we buy it and let them get away with a charging so much for a piece of plastic oh excuse me some metal gears big whoop
