There won't be a left back addition in January, Hugo Bueno is lined up for that position next season

I don't feel GON inspired them, I don't think he could really connect and his serious demeanour had sapped the life out of them. It's telling just how few wished him well on the socials when he left... that speaks volumes for me, they didn't believe in him and I was saying this months ago. Andre has also alluded to communication as GON's staff were all British so it may have also played a part. It's all well and good being the studious "coach" but you also have to be a "manager" and GON isn't, not yet anyway .. a few seasons in the Championship would sort him out a little. We're all a little arrogant fresh out of Uni and think we're going to take over the world and he's no different IMO.
What was very telling is just how we could see the identity, we could see the team, the formation and the plan whereas thats been missing for as long as I can remember ... they ran around like headless chickens under GON and I simply had no idea what the plan was more often than not.
Guedes was fantastic and we should be doing everything to keep him here. I know he's wanted out for some time but maybe thats gonna change if he's given a good run (as he absolutely should be). I think they all did well, Andre was strong again, R Gomes had a pretty good game (someone I've wanted to see given a good crack at it).... Not sure how he'll fare against stronger opposition but Sunday will have done his confidence the world of good. He's eager, he's keen and if we give him the right games he can only grow.
Only Toti had me nervous TBH but that's often the case, he's either bang on it or not at all and he wasn't great IMO.
Not getting too excited as Leicester were awful, by far the worst team we've played (on that showing) but I'm confident VP will improves us no end. Utd will be telling but they're awful too at the minute, so lets see.
Enjoy your content boys, keep it up, Merry Christmas and all that jazz.
