When Evra said that Ferguson said that he will stay 5 more years that Ronaldo would come back and we’ll fight to win another Champions League that’s when I got a tear in my eyes
@MeOhYesMe How much more clear can you be than winning is normal? As far as I am concerned, and millions others, that mentality is what set him apart from Wenger and the others. You seem to be arguing for the sake of arguing.
MeOhYesMe All good managers should instill a winning mentality in their players but all these winning mentalities can be different. Saying “winning is normal” is different from saying “winning is important”. They are both winning mentalities but there is a different mentality surrounding both of these. I think what is most important is not having the best mentality, but what is the best mentality for the manager, the players and the setting. The mentality must work in the setting with the players and if the manager can instill the belief in his players that it will work - even better. I think Clough was maybe the greatest ever but it’s very debatable of course. Ferguson is definitely right up there as well though I might be a bit biased as I’m Scottish ;)
Do we have to pick one because that's impossible there's so many but one of the best memories of him was that goal vs Bayern and his celebration infront of Suarez after being racially abused
His goal against Bayern in Champs League 2nd leg QF! I know we have had a terrible season in 2013/2014, but that was our best moment that season. And the way he celebrated and kissed the badge. He truly cares and loves Manchester United. Legend!
