Ion Storm was supposed to generate a random "Ion Storm" but has no effect in-game. Squad is from Red Alert1 which spawns a squad of infantry. It's not working in RA2 at all. This info came from the guy that helps me out with those kind of stuff, TAK02.
@@tg.Sacred Thanks for that info, I was just adding what I have learned in building maps.I hope you don't think I was trying to take over your video. Making RA2/YR Great Again!
@tg Okay, now you done give me more ideas for more videos, and more questions to ask. 1. You can make a race consisting of every unit, especially with veterancy, and Speed crates. Slowest vehicle with no veterancy or crates through Ore up to the fastest Veteran unit with Speed crate NOT through Ore. 2. Do Speed crates affect the warping speed of Chrono Infantry after chronoing? 3. Do Speed crates affect the rotating speed of vehicles, or does that stay consistent? 4. Do Firepower crates affect Chrono Legionaries? 5. Do Firepower crates affect defense structures? 6. Do Firepower/Armor/Speed crates picked up by Aircraft Carriers and Destroyers affect the Hornets and Ospreys? 7. Do Firepower crates affect Terror Drones and Giant Squids? 8. Do Firepower crates affect Ivan or suicide units? 9. Can an Elite, Firepower crate V3 Launcher destroy a shipyard with just one missile? Or are shipyards really that freaking durable? 10. Dreadnought VS Firepower Boomber 11. You need to set the new record for strongest Anti-Air unit in the game: Elite Agies with Firepower crate. 12. Do Armor crates affect buildings? 13. You also need to set the new world record for most durable unit in the game. I think it was the Apoc Tank? So..Elite Apoc with an Armor crate. 14. Armor VS Firepower (Firepower will probably win unless we get pleasantly surprised) 15. Armor & Firepower VS veterancy 16. Do Armor crates give units resistance to Chrono Legionaires? 17. Can a unit be affected by a Heal crate even if being attacked by a Chrono Legionaire? If it does, does it reset the amount of time until the unit disappears? 18. Does a Heal crate force a Giant Squid to let go of the ship? 19. Are units inside transports and garrisoned structures affected by Heal, Armor, Firepower or Speed crates? 20. Can any crates that affect a Construction Yard affect the MCV it unpacks into and vice versa?
@@MoondropSimulacra He said it himself a while ago. Now that every unit and structure is generally covered, he's slowly running out of video ideas. Now that he has controlled access to crates, we have a lot more testing possibilities to keep his red alert series going a little while longer.
the unused cloak crate was great in C&C1 where it was used, it affected a small amount around it too. So you could get a cloaked transport helicopter, and the enemy would just see infantry randomly appear in their base. It also worked on commandos too. I modded it back into RA1; but it was a bit bugged; it used the submarine cloak sound (due to adapted cloak logic) and sometimes the turrets would be visible. But this was still great with cloaked APC's, cloaked tanyas (which ended up being like the Ordos Saboteur in Dune 2000) Cloaked tanks are a bit of a waste of time, they have to de-cloak to attack so it's pretty pointless apart from perhaps on a group of V2's. Also modding the Speed crate to make units faster just bugs units, they will zip around the map very quickly until they eventually just freeze up.
while playing online, i noticed that map reveal crates r useless if u had built spy satellite. and when spy satellite gets destroyed or sold, the whole map turns black. its so annoying that i never build that building if crates r on

Questions: 1.) Do the crate abilities stack? what if you get 5 firepower, do they all stack? 2.)can you have multiple effects on 1 unit? ( firepower, armor, and speed) I was actually wondering about that, thought it would be discussed in the video, thanks for the info though.
Also,if you sell your radar after u got the map reveal crate ,then all your map progress will be erased, nothing but the LOS of buildings and units will remain
There is one item a crate can hold that is definitely the best: You are playing as an Allied nation, a communist nation, or Yuri. Then you get a crate, and within is one of the two other types of MCV. Suddenly you can bui kaleld from the tech trees of TWO of these faction types, not just one of them.
Hey, @tg - sacred, can you tell us how you were able to get those crates using the map editor? how is it possible to make the same crate appear again and again? how is it possible to dictate the crate what effect it will have? can you spawn other units, eg. the sniper with a crate as well using the map editor? would be lovely to get an answer or even a video about how you did that, I generally have fun using the map editor. Greetings
Did you do the three support structures in a video? Cloning vats, purifier, and industrial plant. I can’t remember. I’d be curious to see what things are affected by purifier.
Question about these Crates: When a single Unit Pickup a single Crates contains Bonus, either Upgrade Armor, Upgrade Speed, Upgrade Firepower. Does it effect bonus was only affect the Unit who Picking up the Crates, or every Unit with same type? And also do Air Unit & Naval Unit can get bonus effect from Crates too? (For Air Unit make it easy example like Nighthawk Transport, Flying Disc, Siege Chopper, & Kirov Airship)
Muhammad Yudhi crates have an area of effect so yes it will affect all nearby units not all units of the same type outside the range. Air units and naval units can be affected by crates too, yes.
One thing I didn't get an answer to was, can you stack additional upgrade crates in a unit, ie. If a unit picks up more speed crates or armor crates or firepower crates, will that unit become twice as fast if it picks up 2 speed crates for example ???
Does a unit who receives a firepower, speed or armor upgrade keep those upgrades if they get a promotion? I mean if a unit becomes a veteran with an armor upgrade, is it now armor upgrade + veteran bonus or simply veteran bonus?
You shouldn't go all epileptic flashing on the end logo just in case a viewer has problems with that, but anyway, great stuff as always, really cool music on the background, is there a name for it? And this was a MUST SEE video for all RA2 fans. Teasing Iron Curtain next?

Do the speed/armour/firepower crates stack if you pick up multiple crates with the same unit? (E.g. Two firepower crates becomes 4x damage?) Also, if a garrisoned battle fortress picks up a firepower crate, does it increase the attack damage of just the fortress itself, or the infantry inside, too?
Thanks for sharing. You can only get vehicle crates when you have less than 50 units (tanks + warships). If you have more than 50 vehicles the crates will become money crates. Do you know how I can modify this limit? Thank you!
Will enemy share the same crate with you when they nearby? Like money crate, do they share the money equally or get the same amount or get the amount base on their own luck? How about other crates?

Ion Storm was supposed to generate a random "Ion Storm" but has no effect in-game.
Squad is from Red Alert1 which spawns a squad of infantry. It's not working in RA2 at all.
This info came from the guy that helps me out with those kind of stuff, TAK02.
@@tg.Sacred Thanks for that info, I was just adding what I have learned in building maps.I hope you don't think I was trying to take over your video.
Making RA2/YR Great Again!
I would want to see what horrible nightmare a full vertancy apocalypse tank with all the crate upgrades and support buildings would be capable of.
You can get an idea in the Chaos Drone video!
Havent played Red Alert ' for years, yet great video, thumbs up.
10. Dreadnought VS Firepower Boomber
14. Armor VS Firepower (Firepower will probably win unless we get pleasantly surprised)
15. Armor & Firepower VS veterancy
KILAH4716 this looks like homework to me :p I will see what I can do.
What the hue is this? That's a LOT of quest dude... :v
But this was still great with cloaked APC's, cloaked tanyas (which ended up being like the Ordos Saboteur in Dune 2000)
Cloaked tanks are a bit of a waste of time, they have to de-cloak to attack so it's pretty pointless apart from perhaps on a group of V2's.
Also modding the Speed crate to make units faster just bugs units, they will zip around the map very quickly until they eventually just freeze up.
Firepower upgrade doubles the firepower. Grizzly tanks have 120 instead of 60 and the Rhinos have 180 vs 90.
I never knew the firepower upgrade doubled the units damage. Nice.
the iron curtain crate used to be effective to infantries in RA95, making them invulnerable
@Rick O'Shay ???
@Rick O'Shay never heard about the vanilla game
@Rick O'Shay oh, then the storyline didnt include Boris back then, he was not trained
Took me a while too to figure out the joke from Rick.
An awesome video as always. Thanks again comrade.
Nothing quite as satisfying as finding a different faction's MCV in a crate that spawns right in your base.
I got so lucky, as i was playing skirmish a crate spawned in my base and an allied MCV appeared. Talk about chances
If I remember correctly, losing a spy satellite will undo the map reveal, even if it was revealed by a crate first.
you forgot two things about crates
1. you can nukes to
2. if a crate are next to a building and it gives fire power/armor the building will get it to
Agreed, because Nuke War seems rarely to get.. Nobody can get this opportunity
while playing online, i noticed that map reveal crates r useless if u had built spy satellite. and when spy satellite gets destroyed or sold, the whole map turns black. its so annoying that i never build that building if crates r on
Some people just don't bother building spy satellite even if the crate are off. If that building blow up, it reset your map.
That's the first time I hear that a heath crate also repairs your structures and does have an unlimited range. Thanks for the video :)
Also what is up with the music? I really like the songs can you maybe provide the title / composer?
Hey thanks.
Here's the track.

Questions:
1.) Do the crate abilities stack? what if you get 5 firepower, do they all stack?
2.)can you have multiple effects on 1 unit? ( firepower, armor, and speed)
I was actually wondering about that, thought it would be discussed in the video, thanks for the info though.
1. No
2. Yes
@@tg.Sacred awesome thanks
Always good to watch after the outro
And more interesting is when pickup armor crate using tank and beside it you have mcv not deployed yet, it also affect it when it got deployed.
I loved just blocking off the AI and collecting crates to see everything you could get.
I once tried giving an Apocalypse every single upgrade. He was unstoppable
Also,if you sell your radar after u got the map reveal crate ,then all your map progress will be erased, nothing but the LOS of buildings and units will remain
Question:do buff crates stack?
There is one item a crate can hold that is definitely the best:
You are playing as an Allied nation, a communist nation, or Yuri. Then you get a crate, and within is one of the two other types of MCV. Suddenly you can bui kaleld from the tech trees of TWO of these faction types, not just one of them.
Worst when you're about to approach a crate and it disappears, happens too often
Use Chrono legionnaires.
@@corsairgamingyt wow I'm a dumbass
Hey, @tg - sacred, can you tell us how you were able to get those crates using the map editor? how is it possible to make the same crate appear again and again? how is it possible to dictate the crate what effect it will have? can you spawn other units, eg. the sniper with a crate as well using the map editor? would be lovely to get an answer or even a video about how you did that, I generally have fun using the map editor.
Greetings
Did you do the three support structures in a video? Cloning vats, purifier, and industrial plant. I can’t remember. I’d be curious to see what things are affected by purifier.
I only made a video of Ore Purifier vs Industrial Plant.
Does Full Heal Crate also dislodge Giant Squids the way it removes Terror Drones? Also can Speed, Armor and Firepower upgrades stack?
Yes it will work against Giant Squids too. With each each other yes. With the same upgrade twice, no.
Question about these Crates: When a single Unit Pickup a single Crates contains Bonus, either Upgrade Armor, Upgrade Speed, Upgrade Firepower. Does it effect bonus was only affect the Unit who Picking up the Crates, or every Unit with same type?
I'm asking that because when i'm found a Crates, i'm trying to picking up with Apocalypse Tanks for a strongest and fastest Apocalypse Division, and also i'm wondering if there's 20 of my Apocalypse outside range the Crates, can they get the bonus too?
No, a unit can get only one upgrade of each type.
But do speed-crates stack? Can I give a unit 3 crates for better results?
Also, is it applied to nearby units when taken?
Crates have a radius so yes it's applied to nearby units but the same upgrades do not stack multiple times.
How about bonus stacking? Can these upgrades (armor/firepower) stack, how much and is there a cap?
The same upgrade can't stack with each other.
That moment when you send a dog across the map to get a create, and it vanishes before you reach it.
Just when i thought you were done.
May I know the soundtrack at the beginning of the video? It's a different version of the ost "Tension" but I couldn't find it
Why last crate was like a gift 🤔?
Great test :D ! loved the music and this edited part :3 6:33
Running the game with the CNC net launcher was transforming the crates to those "gifts"!
I love to collect crates. I used Legionaire since he is the fastest among all land units and for sea, I used Aegis
what a great info video
makes me wanna play red alert 2 now xD
Does a unit who receives a firepower, speed or armor upgrade keep those upgrades if they get a promotion? I mean if a unit becomes a veteran with an armor upgrade, is it now armor upgrade + veteran bonus or simply veteran bonus?
The unit will maintain all the bonuses!
The best feeling is when your base was destroyed and you have a single conscript that goes over to a crate and finds a construction yard
Me: *founds a crate*
Crate: *MCV*
Me: *today is my lucky day!*
I hope you can read this..
Can you manipulate or edit the appearance/ drop rate of crates ?
Yes you can.
If you check the top 10 Chrono Legionnaire uses you can see plenty and different crate in appearance
You shouldn't go all epileptic flashing on the end logo just in case a viewer has problems with that, but anyway, great stuff as always, really cool music on the background, is there a name for it? And this was a MUST SEE video for all RA2 fans. Teasing Iron Curtain next?
Hey,
What do you mean about the flashing, what problem could probably someone have? You mean it's annoying?
Thanks!
@@tg.Sacred You are aware that rapidly flashing lights can cause epilepsy crisis to people who suffer from that disease right? I mean, I'm thankfully not one of them, but i am aware of the problem since i produce visual media myself. I talk about the end logo of yours, I found the flashing lights a bit too much and potentially dangerous to people with epilepsy. Just a friendly suggestion.
@@Hamentsios10 Okay thanks but youtube is full of those.
@@tg.Sacred I know right
Do the firepower crates stack? like what if its an elite unit and you find one or more firepower crates?
They don't stack multiple times. Only once.
I'm biased towards the Firepower Upgrade.
Anybody ever seen a fully promoted IFV tank w/ the Firepower Upgrade? It's a beast!
Random Dragon Ball Z Fan you can see it in the chaos drone video !
author, how do you create these boxes with the click of your fingers? Do I collect them on a card as a chrono-legionnaire? please share, and not only that!
Hey,
I have modders who help with those kind of stuff.
@@tg.Sacred it turns out I was not given?
get an elite apocalypse tank or an elite ifv with firepower upgrade make them insanely overpower.
Do the speed/armour/firepower crates stack if you pick up multiple crates with the same unit? (E.g. Two firepower crates becomes 4x damage?)
Also, if a garrisoned battle fortress picks up a firepower crate, does it increase the attack damage of just the fortress itself, or the infantry inside, too?
The same power up don't stack twice.
I believe it will affect all the units.
I still want to see that elite IFV in tank bunker with power upgrade and infected by a chaos drone shredding Kirovs
Илья you can see it in the chaos drone video
Thanks for sharing. You can only get vehicle crates when you have less than 50 units (tanks + warships). If you have more than 50 vehicles the crates will become money crates. Do you know how I can modify this limit? Thank you!
Will enemy share the same crate with you when they nearby? Like money crate, do they share the money equally or get the same amount or get the amount base on their own luck? How about other crates?
Firepower and Armor upgrade should have an overlay on a unit like veterancy chevron. Back in the day it was very confusing for my childish brain having to remember who already ate the crate.
Great edit .. if you could tell me the soundtrack name i’d be grateful

tg thank you ❤️
I always thought that armor crate was just empty crate when I was 10yo lol
I have a question: How does a same bonus stack multiple time ? Can a unit's firepower get x4 after picking up 2 weapon crates?
сколько же юнитов просто погибло, ради твоих эксперементов))
I wish you made the video of that view from the last section. It's so far away it strains the eyes.
I used to edit code that give a more bonus from armor crate use Tanya pick them up and solo AI base.
can you please check if armor and firepower stack and by how much if they do ???
They do stack. You can get an idea about the values through the video. Double damage and about 25% extra armor.
those crates are... MAGIC SNORT SNORT!
What's the name of the map you are using in these videos? Do you have a download link?
It's called oasis of doom.
I didn't download it as it was already installed.
@@tg.Sacred it looks like an interesting map. But I don't have it with the first decade version, and I am unable to find it on the internet. Is there any chance you are willing to share it?
If you dont have any base there is a very high change you are gonna win a MCV on those creates.
Does the Elite apoc tank gain firepower and armor? That will be sick!
Yes of course. You can check it at Chaos Drone video fully upgraded.
Strange. Im pretty sure you could get MCVs in Skirmishes. Basegame vs AddOn?!
Yep you can get MCVs randomly in skirmishes. Not with missions. Except someone edit a mission that can enable crates with random things.
And I never seen or played any missions with random spawned crates before...
Uses an Attack Dog to retrieve the crates.
*UNIT* *FIREPOWER* *UPGRADED*
LOL Iron Curtain surprise for Tanya 😂🤣
How come you didn’t demostrare the last crate which kills the unit that picks it up? I had never seen that in the game before. Thanks for the video.
DOITNOW00 because it will be in the next video. Wanted to add some suspense!
I read a RA2 manual in Chinese that crates can detonate, but I guess that’s from other games.
How did you have much crates in one area?
Can they stack ? i mean if u take 3 speed boosts or 3 armor / power, will they stack?
Omar Nabulsi nope
The only thing that interests me the most is where you unearthed this game from without lags))
Amazing as always
You didn't show the Elite with fire power upgrade. It also changes the weapon in most cases and the damage it does is sick!
I feel like you should've also tested "stacked" upgrades (i.e. a unit with firepower and armor vs. a unit without, as well as veterancy)
Think about it, though: How powerful would t his be: a speed- and armor-upgraded elite Battle Fortress with five firepower-upgraded elite Tesla Troopers.
RedShocktrooper that would go to far, perhaps in a separate video
I think there is another crate that appears only on water. It reveals invisible submarines ... can you confirm tg ?
Jean-michaël Nasica I doubt there is such a crate.
and, how do i place a crate that is sure to promote a unit in a map editor
Awesome.. I will make Tanya revenge from Boris lol 😂😂😂
Been a while. When was the new outro introduced?
You mean the flashing?
I used it only in this video because it matched the music!
