5:23 You guy's always apply the 20% cushion that the FDA allows to nutritional labels, to eating out/meals at restaurant. The 20% rule DOESN'T apply to food at restaurants. Restaurants aren't even required to post nutritional information on their menus. The FDA allowing nutritional labels to be off by 20% only applies to food items purchased off of store shelves, and such. Not meals prepared by restaurants. So if a restaurant peepares a meal or food item, they can be off by as much as they want, without consequence, because it's not regulated or governed.

Thanks for your call, Alyssa! I needed this encouragement to keep in my reverse today. Same issue with the scale messing with my head. My plan is to bump up 100-200 more calories before end of year, then do a new years cut. I was ready to abandon ship when i weighed in today, this was the universal nudge i needed to stay the course.

I also found that segment very encouraging. I need to trust the process, trust that my body will achieve a healthy equilibrium, as long as I feed it healthy food, hit my protein targets, and continue to lift weights.

34:40 you're so right, Sal! We usually self-medicate with the thing that hurt us in the first place. Fat people who are depressed about it eat more food. People with tons of debt go shopping to make themselves feel better. And an exercise addict who is hurt will exercise more!

Adam thank you so much for discussing about the issues you are having. This is a reality that most professionals don't talk about. What to do when your body is breaking down & how to pivot. The emotions can also be an issue in the neck that could benefit from a chiropractor. There are times when I have big emotions and notice that even commercials on tv can send me to tears. First call is to the chiropractor and usually it's a C2 adjustment with a big emotional release and tears for about 10 minutes. Then I'm good for months or years 👍. For those who are skeptical of chiropractic care, I think massage can sometimes unlock and release that stuff too.

Not letting people work in has got to be a covid carryover. My gym has huge etiquette emphasis on wiping down machines with a cleaning wipe after use, which is good. But NO ONE lets anyone work in, I don't even bother asking anymore. The terrible part is, it feels so much harder to make friends at the gym than it did 5 years ago because it is no longer this shared experience.

It took 2 seconds to debunk the turkey talk. As with all things, you can’t just compare the average from one year with a single result from another year. I am looking at a Butterball frozen turkey from Walmart right now online: average price $1.04/lb. Jennie-O, $0.88/lb. Honeysuckle White (fancy no hormones/steroids/antibiotics bird) $1.98/lb.
