This is what a final stage should sound like. All the chips are down, one more obstacle to go, there's an army of bosses in the way but you've come too far to give up. You're going to earn your win, dammit.
The Calling from Heaven (The Castle Proserpina, United Kingdom) The final stretch. The two vampire hunters have an entire sentinel of Medusa Heads and living armor (and two rooms that mess with the player’s reality). Time is of the essence!
Rickydo Castlevania was always a great game. That's why many games are inspired from Castlevania. And that's why it leads in Metroidvania. Long live the name "Castlevania". Only one horror genre in games.
Such a fucking shame to see what Konami has become, they had castlevania, contra, silent hill... Well, at least we can still play these masterpieces from the past.
Rickydo Yes you are right.. Once I was a huge fan of Konami for Contra, TMNT and especially Castlevania (as I am a Castlevania fan) but Konami has become a Shit and now producing Shit. Now we have lots of hope with Igarashi's Bloodstained franchise and any upcoming games that will definitely give justice to this genre.
The Observer It was definitely epic, since it they kept coming back to Michiru Yamane. A good portion of the tracks in this game have been used again. But I always felt this was one of the best, and it never made another appearance. Portrait of Ruin would have been perfect since it was the sequel to this game.
There's a lot of songs they didn't used, like: * Treasury Room, Library, Forest of Monsters etc. only in SCV4 * Battle of the Holy and Death Fair in CV The Adventure * Stream and Rising from CV3 etc...
This is a solid proof that japanese composers can do whatever awesome they want. In an european-themed game, when you hear this song it's impossible not to feel yourself in old Europe and you feel the ultimate battle is coming and all your inner forces scream the ultimate war cry to battle and end all demons.
The first time I saw this stage, I thought something was wrong with the emulator. The platforming section was such a bitch with the trippy screen and the medusa heads!
Super CV4 or Bloodlines, the eternal question. CV4 may have more fluid control and be more polished, but for my money, Bloodlines is the one that trully captures the Castlevania escence, and its soundtrack plays no small part in that.
Literally ive written a few very short pieces to each song....not all but some beginning ones. Im a bit fatigued however this game this music this entire story is simply a perfect nostalgia. Always the spear. ::)
I would like this song in the last level in castlevania portrait of ruin Could have been an arranged version and make the final moments before the last battle better and More epic
@@teeman9266 SNES and Genesis both has great sound capabilities in their own areas and some sounds bad (depend upon the game developer). In most of the cases game music from Capcom and Konami are far better in every way.
After playing Dracula X I have developed a fond appreciation for bloodlines. It is now my 2nd favorite castlevania. Dracula X was so bad it made me seriously evaluate the criticisms I gave to this game.

Fucking Death with his mini boss rush, Elizabeth with her two forms and Dracula with his whopping three forms, such a great final level
@@MentallyIdiotic and no having almost nothing of healing items a true last level

A Calling from the Heaven
Probably my favorite video game track ever.
Strong statement but solid!!!

"MASTERPIECE" !!!
SO EPIC!!!

IT’S A MASTAHPIECE, POP THE CHAMPAGNE!
This stage was friggin trippy and this song made me want to dive deeper and deeper into the madness inside the castle.
What an amazing game.

Why has Konami never reused this in any other Castlevania?

I believe the title of this track is “Calling from Heaven”. Small portions of Leon’s theme seem to pay homage to this track.
I think "Lament of Innocence" takes inpirations of this theme....
This is my favorite track from this game. Such a great theme for the last stage.
Enchanted music ... Retro Castlevania still alive...

I love this track. The concert violin version is even better.
not for me, they drop A LOT of drum and bass , this version has a more balanced band.
Im with you the original is so much better but the cover is nice
Call to the Heavens and the Heavens will call out to you.
3:03 It sounds like reality is starting to warp out of control
Beating this stage in one life was so satisfying
this is the level that breaks your balls but makes you appreciate the game even more, easily my favorite castlevania from the entire franchise
You can see the similarity in instrument sounds to Konami's Sparkster on the Megadrive.
Definitely has that rocket knight adventures vibe. Both under konami
Same composer (Michiru Yamane.)
Me hacen llorar las melodias de Castlevania 😭
Love this and its remix in the collection Omega Catastrophe.
Love this theme. Very epic music for a final level. Sounds like Sparkster a bit.

Dude that would've been epic!!! Jonathan and Charlotte are the bomb and would've been a really cool homage to bloodlines and John Morris
This track accurately describes the difficulty of this stage)
I find stage 5 a lot harder
A ponte está caindo , vamos rápido , vamos entrar no Castelo , lá estaremos seguros.......
final stage start
Sigh.... well we've made it to this point... (looks up) "Yo composer! Cue me something up a little less creepy and a little more inspiring!"
Ms. Yamane: ... Okay then
I'll walk through the valley of shadows of death (with my hands in my pockets) with this tune in my head.
Gameplay story music awesome this game for me on a optional level was more easy for me to beat the new one on ps3 360 ok but not so fun to play.

Finished the game today. Worse on in the series by far imo, but GOD DAMN it has the best score in the series.
