Molson was the first beer I've ever had, and honestly its one of my favourites. It's just a everyday no BS beer thats not too aggressive on the palate and has a very light tasting and smooth blend
This was the first beer I ever had. I remember being astonished. I couldn't see how anyone could dislike beer. Crisp, clean, refreshing and sweet. Definitely a good starter beer.
I tried this for the first time in probably 6 years over the weekend or so and it is DELICIOUS! Way better than I remember. I'm glad I bought it to try something different. I also enjoy Labatt Blue every now and then. My new favorite Import Lager! I usually get Miller Lite, Budweiser, or Rainier. For imports I usually get Heineken or Corona. I love Pilsner Urquell and Grolsch, but they are kind of pricey. I wish I could have tried Beck's back when it was brewed in Germany, but I was too young.
My beer of choice sort of bias being a hockey player and fan growing up constantly seeing commercials for it. You are one of the best beer reviewers on UA-cam rating things for what they are
Drinkability of this is like 10/10. I just bought my first 12 pack of this, having never had it before. A pleasant surprise. Sweet and even slightly creamy; carbonation isn't out of control. I'm actually surprised how well-balanced this is for a macro. Also -- and this is important for beers like this -- no weird aftertaste. Glad this is easily obtainable here. Honestly as much as I enjoy Belgians and other bold beers, if I had to list good macros for sessioning, this would make the short list.
Only being able to get Moosehead would switch me to whiskey I'm afraid lol. Kiddin maybe it's okay,I only tried it once but again with the stupid green bottles=-skunk.
I had one bad experience with Brador in my teens when it was the first premium beer in Ontario with something like 6.9% alc per stubby and I've never been back. Of course maybe I'm wrong and too much of a good thing is not necessarily so,cheers!.
This is THE beer we drink after playing hockey. No smacking our lips or thinking way to much about it. They're on ice in the dressing room when you are done. We love it. It's a hockey beer.
Last time I had a Molson was when I took a trip to Canada about 11 years ago. It wasn't bad sitting down drinking it. Nice shirt and hat by the way. Cheers!
Hi Jay, Though I like Canadian, I prefer schlitz, banquet, hamms. Living in Ontario, Canada, I can't get the latter three here, so it may be preference due to scarcity? How do you feel it stacks up with America Macros, Sir? Thanks
I like Molson Canadian. It’s a solid beer. I tried Molson Canadian Light. It was one of the few times that I agreed with the review sites. Said it tasted somewhat like vinegar and it actually did. Might give it another try down the road to see if I got a bad batch.
Labbat 50 ale is okay, used to drink my bud's supply when my Export ran out. O'Keefe Red Cap ale, another old-timer fave that still comes in stubbys, not as bold as X or 50 in my opinion but the bottles rock and they're now owned by Molson-Coors so perhaps the formula has changed somewhat..
It's a beer that's kind of the the same league as Budweiser. not really anything artful, but if you're going away for a long weekend, to go to a cottage or something, you bring a ton of them and just chug them on a hot summer day. That's really the venue where it has worth. I'm actually from canada and everyone here WANTS to like it more than Budweiser due to national pride, but I consider them almost interchangeable (not in terms of taste, but in terms of quality)
@@bobbiusshadow6985 I tried Blue again recently and Canadian won out for me too. Again not that it's bad or anything. For the longest time it was tied with Canadian in sales for a reason. Now surprisingly due to shifting demographics I think Budweiser is as far as domestics go (shudders)
This is pretty interesting for a adjunct lager, bought a 12 pack of this just now. This doesn't have the heavy clawing adjunct sweetness American AL's have, when I hear Schaefer being advertised as a round beer, I have no frame of reference for these older beers no longer made, but I feel like this is what round would taste like. Still a little sweet, but quite pleasant for $1 a bottle.
Have yet to try the cold shots too. Call me old-fashioned or just plain old but the cans are too small lol. However I'd very much like to try the low carb Molson Ultra at 90 calories and 3% alc.
Harry Markland Molson actually perished aboard the Titanic(RIP.) Canadian and Export are my go to's now, only because Golden (was an ale then not a hybrid) is no longer available in Canada now for some reason ($$)
@@ronaldtheriot A Molson employee once told me their generic branded Bohemian or "Boh" is actually re-packaged Canadian, and was the make-ready/waste they would flush before bottling commenced.
