The prequel hate is lame. Sure there flawed but so is the original trilogy and I love the films to death. The storytelling is underrated. Ryan and Jeremy are in the right here. And the LotR trilogy has flaws. The whole Aragorn "fake dying" in Two Towers took up too much screentime and what did it really do for the plot other than Aragorn knowing the Uruk-Hai were coming. They could've achieved that offscreen with a scout who comes in and tells Theodon etc. Benny Johnson doesn't fit FNT. Guy clearly isn't a nerd and it shows. No more political pundits.

Jackson's LoTR series holds up well but it isn't perfect. Even with the extended cuts, we still don't get Tom Bombadil, Goldberry, Old Man Willow and the Barrow Eights. Instead, we got unnecessary scenes with Liv Tyler's Arwen. In the theatrical release, I was pissed off that Two Towers didn't end with Frodo's comatose body getting hauled off by orcs after the ambush with Gollum and Shelob like the book. At the end of Return of the King, the Scourging of the Shire is missing despite Sam seeing it in Galadriel's mirror.

The Prequels, on the whole are, TERRIBLE. Jar-Jar destroys the first one. The Prequals should have started with the 2nd movie: The elevator scene would have been enough exposition. The actors were good, but not in the green screen environment without a real director.
I think people play up the Jar Jar thing a little. His biggest crime is maybe he has to much screen time. Ep 1 has a certain sense of self awareness to it where as Ep 8 did not. At Disney they think balance in the force is a balance between lioght and dark but with the explanation of the Jedi in the original and prequal trilogy the light side is when you have attained balanced in the force. Because you are balanced you have a balanced view of relationships and more so you don't get obsessed with one person but you care for every thing and how everything is interconnected.

The prequel hate is lame. Sure there flawed but so is the original trilogy and I love the films to death. The storytelling is underrated. Ryan and Jeremy are in the right here.
And the LotR trilogy has flaws. The whole Aragorn "fake dying" in Two Towers took up too much screentime and what did it really do for the plot other than Aragorn knowing the Uruk-Hai were coming. They could've achieved that offscreen with a scout who comes in and tells Theodon etc.

I found the fellowship through Jeremy and G&G after Last Jedi came out. It took me a while to start watching Nerdrotic and RK stuff and start watching FNT. I got lucky that one of the very first episodes I watched was the Frosk bitten show and Krissy doing that bit. I have not missed an FNT since.

Jackson's LoTR series holds up well but it isn't perfect. Even with the extended cuts, we still don't get Tom Bombadil, Goldberry, Old Man Willow and the Barrow Eights. Instead, we got unnecessary scenes with Liv Tyler's Arwen. In the theatrical release, I was pissed off that Two Towers didn't end with Frodo's comatose body getting hauled off by orcs after the ambush with Gollum and Shelob like the book. At the end of Return of the King, the Scourging of the Shire is missing despite Sam seeing it in Galadriel's mirror.
Correction: Sam isn't in the mirror scene but Frodo sees something that looks like the enslavement of the Hobbits of the Shire by orcs.
and thank god they didn't do any of that. The pacing would be bloody awful had they did.
To me there all 5 out of 5 star films but I still find little nitpicks with them especially Two Towers.

The Prequels, on the whole are, TERRIBLE. Jar-Jar destroys the first one. The Prequals should have started with the 2nd movie: The elevator scene would have been enough exposition. The actors were good, but not in the green screen environment without a real director.
I think people play up the Jar Jar thing a little. His biggest crime is maybe he has to much screen time. Ep 1 has a certain sense of self awareness to it where as Ep 8 did not. He ends up having a purpose in the end though. Also let’s not forget that Darth Jar Jar is probably the best conspiracy theory to come out of any movie! 😂
Also I always hear that the prequels are just a pure CGI fest. Which is not true. Each Prequel movie used more miniatures than the Entire OG trilogy combined.

It has boggled my mind since it came out how anyone thought FURY ROAD was a great movie. From the first 5 minutes of the movie I was disliking the feck out of it and it just stayed terrible the whole damn time. The ONLY thing it had at all was that awesome scene of them driving through the mega desert storm and the tornadoes wiping shit out as they drove through it. 99.9999999999% dogshit otherwise. Tom Hardy absolutely wasted at having a chance of resurrecting Mad Max for the modern area. He would have been really good at the character I think.
