Shallow angles cause "funnel flow," where particles concentrate in the center, leaving material near the walls. Sometimes, a tap is needed to activate discharge due to "rat holing."
    Externally, steep angles show mass flow, while funnel flow concentrates particles in the middle. Cross-sections reveal even velocities for mass flow and the creation of a funnel shape for funnel flow.
