Man, Colorado is absolutely beautiful. I could not imagine living in a place like that all the time.
Thanks for taking us along Grant! This is definitely overlanding goals.
Man, same here. Thanks for watching!
I just got back from there! Good stuff
Loved mineral creek
Colorado is on a whole new level! Thank you for this video and keep it up! 🇺🇲
Amazing scenery!
OKIE DOKIE Love it when Flatlanders SPOT sections of road that are better then some Streets in DENVER
Nice video.. I enjoyed seeing some places I was at last year. Cinnamon Pass was my first time on a trail
Awesome video. I'm going back up to Colorado bright and early tomorrow for another week. I'm leaving this north Texas heat behind LOL
Don’t blame you! Have fun!
Heck yea!! Been waiting for this video to drop! 4 weeks and counting and I will be heading to Colorado myself
Sweet! Have fun!
Truly epic scenery. If you wheel at all this has to be a bucket list location.
💯
Great series man. Over in Texas and really looking forward to some Arkansas and Colorado wheeling! Love the stuff, keep it up!
Appreciate it!
Bro, you got a lifted Taco on 35s and every piece of armor known to man slapped on, and you’re crawling like it’s a class 5 at Moab. Just send it..
Nah man I take care of my stuff.
Maybe you should send your rig to your boy TAV…you know, so it’s more tactical
@@thecatch83 I'd love to
Mechanical sympathy is the way to look after your gear.
Yeah, if you don’t pee standing up
Love the videos
Thanks homie!! Really appreciate it.
Daaamm man , what a satisfaction I had watching this recommended video. I live in a piece of shit jersey where there is nothing but ticks 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 the closest nice place with mountains is Vermont which is 4-8 hours of drive and it will be not even half of what I see in the video, what a nature , phenomenal 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 u guys are so lucky you live there. God bless you !!!
Man I really appreciate you watching! Glad you enjoyed it!
18:26 dude, sock with sandals?!?! C'mon my guy 😆
Comfort over form my guy 😎
@@ArkansasOffroad RESPECT!
Great footage, CO is so beautiful! Thanks for filming and sharing, looked like an awesome trip.
If you think that is beautiful, you should see Yuma, Az.
Has someone shared a video we can watch on Yuma? That would be great.
Damn super sick man! That drop off was sketchy tho .. lol
Bro this camp spot is so stunning
Wait until part 3😎
thanks for very good content.
Thanks for watching!
I need some Colorado in my life 😍🤘
Yeah you do!
What a thumbnail!! Looks like a great time man! Love your videos!
Thanks so much!
Man, after watching this videos I would love to travel from Mexico to Colorado and explore those areas. Your rig is nicer every time, but still haven’t forgotten you from selling the TJ. Congrats on the upcoming baby.
New subscriber !!! Awesome video. I’m up in Searcy. Where’s home for you ? Need to take a look at that awesome rig one day 😁
Awesome video bro! Definitely making me want to go back to Colorado and see what the 2WD poser can tackle. Dude slides while wheeling love it! I’m more of a flip flop 🩴 guy on the trails.
Broooo you totally should!
Ahh yeah. Gotta let the piggies breathe!
I get to go to CO in late AUG. You will be breaking in the new bambino. Get him something shaped like a little steering wheel!
Dang man, I think I may have seen you in West Siloam at Loves on your way out!!! Should have said hello but it was really busy.
Ha that was me!
@@ArkansasOffroad next time you head east this way let me know!
Freakin love your wheeling vids man. You get into some sh!t, lol. Looks like a ton of fun man.
Those drops on the shelf roads SUCK. Had a big one a while back in TN, w a pucker factor of about 12.5... If you see them, it's not so bad. Its the ones you don't see that stop your heart a lil lmao
Thanks bro! Haha yeah they can be gnarly for sure!
Been awhile since I've been there, but looks like you took the wrong way around Alpine loop. That looks like Mineral Creek. That's a rough trail for a van! 🤪
Yep we did mineral creek on accident haha. We tried to cut across but missed our turn. Was fun though
Red draws 'em. (@1:47) see HB shadow. Pretty coool!
Oh no way!
I feel like we were there not that long after you and the conditions were so different. It was 50 degrees at the top and barely any snow. Would have loved to have been there when you were and wheeled a little with you guys.
Probably! The conditions change hourly seems like.
Couple years ago when we were out there on Cinnamon Pass, we came across a family at the top from Texas. They were staring at us like we were crazy because were were in shorts and tshirts and they were in full winter gear. We're from Ohio and had just had a snowball fight moments before haha.
😂
Great video, really enjoyed! I have a ‘19 Toyota 4Runner setup much like the one in your vid, Alu Cab RTT and Awning. So I have some weight up top like your do too! If you don’t mind what suspension, spring weights, etc are you running? Thanks. Tom in Arizona.
That's awesome! He's got same as me on my Taco. Dobinson MRR's with heavy duty rear coils and medium front. And a pan hard bar relo bracket.
Would love a walk around of the 4runner front and rear bumpers
Ahh man I should
Such an awesome video nothing quite like this one on UA-cam 🤘🇨🇦 what caused the sheet metal cracking and how would you prevent it from happening again? Cheers
Not completely sure to be honest. The forums say it’s not uncommon. Ordered new bushings. We’ll see. It’s welded back up now
I love your content so much !! But one question came to me, now that you experienced a couple of trips with the tacoma, would you be able to take a few steps back and tell if you prefer off roading with the jeep or the tacoma OR it cannot be compared 😎 ✌️
Hey good question, but a pretty answer. I prefer the Tacoma hands down to my TJ, in just about every way possible. My TJ was bare bones...no A/C from the factory, manual locks, manual windows, stick shift, no windshield wiper fluid, etc. Plus it had a soft top and was loud inside. The tacoma is insanely comfortable and everything and more than I did in my Jeep.
Looks like a great time! What antenna is that on your bumper? And what kind of radio is hooked to it?
It's a cell booster from HiBoost. I have a separate video of it on the channel
17:40 - you are like in Red Dead Redemption 2 there :-)
new to your videos, love your tacoma build, wondering what the black section of your hood is... looks like maybe solar panel?
appreciate it! Yep, it's a solar panel. THere's a separate video I did about it
Man, your video is awesome! I love wheeling in CO. A few years back, went camping/wheeling in my son's Suzuki Sidekick on the Alpine trails. We had camped on that east side of entrance of black bear pass. Kinda funny getting comments from passing wheelers about the Sidekick w/31" tires. We had a better turning radius than even the SxS's. I'm looking at rebuilding an XJ for next summer. Looking forward to more of your videos, Grant. Thanks.
Really appreciate it! Colorado is something special for sure.
ive sat on that toilet. i really enjoyed animas
How was the 3G/4G signal booster holding up on this trip? Did it perform well?
how come you got rid of the logo decal on the side of your tacoma? Great video btw!
Just wanted to clean it up! Might put it back some time
That was awesome, the van was a beast too!
How did you average 49mpg at 16:26?
Haha was going down a mountain
Great video brother. Just a tip, Y’all need to let one good person spot at a time. Having more than one person giving commands can be confusing and cause accidents. (Seen it happen). Always better to pick one person to spot at an obstacle. 🤘🏼
Thanks! I know, lol. It's very confusing and annoying. I even said it in the video. We were all excited haha
@@ArkansasOffroad yeah I heard ya. Haha definitely understandable. Looked like an epic spot!
Quick question...I see you have the Lensun solar panel. I just got the 3 piece one for my 4runner. How has it been holding up? Can you run it through a carwash without any issues as well?
Mine has done great, with no complaints. I"m sure you can run it through a carwash
What solar panel are you running on the hood and how do you like it?
I made a separate video on the channel about it if you'd like to watch it
My friend and I is planning a trip to CO from MI. What's the best time of the year to hit those trails and do some dispersed camping?
Anytime! We went around may
Do you use a corner bracket for you alu-cab awning? If not, how many GFC brackets?
I have 4 gfc brackets. I really need a special corner brace. I use the leg just to be safe. It flexes pretty bad without it.
@@ArkansasOffroad if you're looking for one look at the kinsmen one. There's another guy in the forum that makes them too.
@@Nolgore Sweet, thanks!
So have always been curious if a full size truck "2018 f150" could even fit/ enjoy Colorado trails? What's your thoughts?
Yeah, it'd fit.
@@ArkansasOffroad glad to here! Might be able to plan some trips then! Awesome footage btw. Looks like tons of fun.
Too many chefs!.....
🔝🚙💯
49.7 MPG??
Where is that camp spot at start of video????
It's a secrettttt. Haha. It's right off of engineer pass at the start in Lake City.
When did you do this?
May 25
Is the cracking from running a larger battery?
Nope, factory battery.
@@ArkansasOffroad oh wow! Thats crazy.
How many miles is on your Toyota
73,000
first
Nothing worse then 2 spotters
3
I hate when there’s more than one spotter saying things. Very confusing
