This tape was made before a springlock failure in 1985. To reduce springlock casualties, all performers must wear a protective bodysuit. It is similar in style to a wetsuit, but is made of a Kevlar composite to be extremely thin and durable. The suit was tested to withstand a complete springlock failure 100 times, and consistently passed up until test 83, when it was finally punctured. These suits are being rolled out to all Fazbear Entertainment locations immediately.
Notice to performers: keep track of all springlock failures regardless of how minor. After failure 80, have a new protective bodysuit ordered immediately. Continue use of the old bodysuit may result in injury or death

This is just some a.r.g video series, Animatronics use Pneumatics which are pistons powered by compressed air While other use servos which are electric motors that are easier to use in small parts that need rotation. There are 2 types of servos, Rotation servos and Position Servos. Rotation Servers fully rotate, While Position Servos rotate partially. Some animatronics use both for convenience.

He was really smoking when he decided to make the springlocks animatronic mode the default. If the costume mode was the default it would’ve been perfect.

This video demonstrates that a perfectly wearable costume is there that performers could use, that they then have to reapply to the back over 2 different layers just for the spring lock mechanisms. At that point, just cut your losses & go go back to ground 0.

wait so the spring lock failure ,,only'' results in metal screw getting shoved into you? i thought they are holding the skeleton in place, shoving and holding it behind in the suit, so the performer has enough place to fit in. Efectively the animatronic skeleton is always close behind the actor. during a failure, the whole thing gets pushed foreward again... into the actor
Fun facts! If the springlock failure was actually real Dave afton would actually not be able to scream for help because in the vid/vhs it says there is a springlock in the head and study shows if the head and neck will also have been crushed so the lungs would have been filled with blood and whoever got springlocked will drown to death by their own blood😊

No the locks hold the Endo to the sides of the suit. This is baddingtons idea on how the spring locks work.
