* Yeah, no argument from me on the manual front for this one. I often find reading manuals for strategy games to be a bit of a chore. Thank goodness most of them these days have playable tutorials. * How much memory/space do you reckon that Micronet logo took up? * Whoa, this game (and presumably, the prequel) REALLY should've been made for the PC - I've got a feeling this could've thrived there.
always a good idea to build some colosseums and put some units in them, they enter as spear using recruits and after some time they exit as units with a sword and shield who do a lot more damage and can take a lot more damage. basically the more actions a unit does, the better they get at something. even just having them walk around aimlessly levels up their movement speed for example. also here's a fun tip. if you destroy villages around an enemy fortress it stops them from recruiting more units.
I finished this game twice! Very underated game! It was far beyond it's time!

great strategy game when you get the hang of the mechanics. but yeah, this would be WAY better as a pc game.
It’s the perfect candidate to port to Steam!
I bought this game when I was 20 something with no manual. I'm 40 something now and still trying to figure it out.
