Well done sir. I am surprised you didnt pin or add in some kind of cross grain support I see done on many of these repairs to keep that from rebreaking if dropped again. Looks like it was a very clean break with no splintering or extra cracking though. Its been a minute since you last posted. Hope all is good and your family is healthy and enjoying the holiday season.

Like everything luthiery, there is a debate whether you need to do the wood inlay bit. In this case, the break was long enough that I was comfortable with the size of the glue joint being big enough to stay put.
I didn’t stop building or repairing, just haven’t been making videos. I will start again though, lots of projects in the hopper. Same to you and your family, hope you have a great holiday season!

I just changed my strings for the second time ever, I also had to glue on my nut as it fell off, I struggled a lot more than you did doing this, I assure you😂 This is brilliantly done and very calming too, thankyou!

I don't understand why vintage guitar fans are against the volute on Gibson necks... A simple and effective design that would pretty much solve the classic headstock break of Gibson guitars!

Yeah, it really is unfortunate that neither a volute or a scarf joint is acceptable to the purists

Are you sure you used enough glue? 😂

Used $0.03 instead of $0.02 of glue
